Kura: Hn... Don't like how I do thought bubbles, huh? Hmm... I'll try something else next time. And as for my panels being kinda regular--truth is I kinda thought so too. I'm still new to this, so I felt more comfortable keeping it simple. I will try and mix things up in the future. And for the last thing with the tails of the word bubbles--I was experimenting, and I have a tendency to be indecisive. I'll keep that in mind in the future.

OOooooooooo VERY good story line for both combatants. But my vote goes to 88 for better quality. But it was realy close in my vote.

okay this is annoying how nobody is commenting on anything. 88: good entry, but your thought blurbs being fuzzy little grey masses of air kinda takes away from it. The panels in general were all pretty much the same retangles and squares throughout the entire fight. Vary it up a litte, use different shapes, dont just use such a uniform placement. I think the appropriate term would be, \"Think outside the panel.\" Also, your regular word bubbles, the tails of them arent connected half the tiime. Why is that? Dr Pye, im not gonna sugar-coat this one. Drawing huges eyes like the way you drew 88 in page 3 definately does not suit you. Also remember consistiency. the VCPD cops in page 4 are HEUG. 88 is some little tiny salt shaker in comparison. In page 6, Pye has a head the size of a beach ball. I know he has a large head in comparison to his body, but he looks like he can pretty much eat 88 whole if he opened his mouth wide enough. I also think your cross hatching needs to be cleaned up, Cross hatchig isn't just haphazardly scribling lines to create depth, take time on the hatching.

Nibbles-loved all the facial expressions and the coloring was awesome. I do think you could have made it a bit better with a more specific light source, could have made some panels a little more dramatic. Pi-love your character, he's very three dimensional! I do think you could have worked on filling out the backgrounds a little more, filling in the darkest areas with solid black like on the street and stuff could have made them look better.

Love your entry Pi! I like how you still made Eights seem innocent and skittish... Seems we overlaped a bit, but that's not a big deal... However, I love a good mystery, just what is the good Dr. planning for that blood sample? Seems so far, (after 14 votes) Eights is a class B fighter, which is exactly what I expected really. I know my slow storytelling/writing is bringing me down on this one, but things just haven't started moving for Eights yet. I've got Big Plans for later though. *grin*

Actually, work's been taking up more and more of my time, and while I've managed to get quite a bit of the fight done with a week to go, don't be surprised if I end up shooting for an extension on Saturday. Sorry for the let down, I'll see if I can get it finished by the end of the week.

Psychological torture!

We're coming up on the half-way point, and the way I figure it... This fight will be close to a tie. I'm trying to make sure I pull out all the stops for those extra few points. :)
