First off wow. Yosai: I love the art. It's exquisite. The only problem i had was i got lost in your fights. I couldn't tell movement from an attack or an attack from deflection. Maybe some sound effects would have carried it better but i still think you should work on movement and such. also i got confused with some of the dialogue from the begining maybe if you could find a way to seperate past and present dialogue more. Still this was amazing and i can't wait for more. Monday: Holy crap dude i hope you use colors more often because they totally fit in and made it way easier to read the comic without getting lost or taking awhile to figure things out. To me this is one of your clearer fights and i enjoyed it alot. i wish there was some explanation to why he was killing those people and why orange was there but hey a job's a job. plus i love the way you used red in the comic. i felt the blood hitting the ground. one additional note for both. i think it would help to pull out sometimes in your shots to help the viewers know where this fights going down and where they are at relatively because it would seem like they are a mile away then ten feet then gone then two feet away. just it would help for continuity. but for me monday wins this one. good job you two i admire both of your work and can't wait for more.

Yosai-I'm blown away by your linework and the technique you used was incredible. Very nice job displaying motion as well. The only thing that got to me was you tend to have white text on very light backgrounds which makes it kind of hard to read in some places. Beautiful pages, reminded me a lot of Blade of the Immortal. Monday-Beautiful pages as well, your linework was also impressive. Part of me wishes you would have kept with the coloring you used on the first page. But that's understandable that you didn't as I'm sure it took a ton of time. Quality wise I noticed a few places here and there where your pens bled into the paper and gave it sort of a smudgy look. While it's not game breaking or anything, it's something to look for heh Amazing job both of you! Going to be pretty hard when I vote

Good job to the both of you. Yosai - I really like your artstyle. I loved the way you used your colors. Unfortunately, I had to read this comic twice to get somewhat of an understanding of what was going on and I couldn't tell what was happening in a few of your panels. Black - I dig the colors on the first page. Really complement your style. And how you drew Orange as seen on page 7's thumbnail really caught my eye. However, it is regrettable that your story is incomplete. I'm looking forward to the Beyond Battle.

Amazing fight guys - mind-blowing even. Yosai - you need some \"breaths\" in your action sequences. Set up you fast movements with an establishing shot of what's going on and things will be a lot clearer. Your art skills are unquestionable, time to level up the storytelling. Monday - amazing job man, you got my vote. The ending was a bit of a let down, but the overall content was amazing.

Yosai you have very pretty lines, but this comic feels very hollow. I can understand the use of a type of dreamy atmosphere, but there still needs to be something in your comics that pull characters into reality. I thinks some solid establishment shots would help =P Your people are still very pretty though! Monday every fight is an improvement for you dude! I really like how you've cleared out those gutters. Seems like you're putting a little more planning into your pages which is turning out nicely! There were only some spots where the anatomy was a little questionable and some of the text kind of bled into the side of the panel. I would love to see you do an entire comic with that washed out color scheme you used in the beginning. Good job guys!!

Due to the onset of due dates, scenes were cut and background reasoning behind the appearance of a \"third part\" was unresolved. The story will be further fleshed out and submitted as a BB if yosai can agree with me on this.

Yosai - I really have no idea what happened in your comic. But the art was good. Monday - for undisclosed reasons I am sort of dissapointed in this comic. However, your story is coherent, comprehensible, and your art is always improving. Another solid entry from Monday.

I gave you both the same scores: A in quality, B+ in creativity, and C in entertainment. Here is why. Your art is beautiful, on both parts. Yosai, I love the cross hatching. Page seven is beautiful. The colors work very well. Monday, the inky shading in your comic is lovely, as is the very limited coloring (the blood, the muzzle flashes). A. Your characters are both original and well-executed, and you both portrayed the other's character in an accurate, fair way. You both did your homework and found out about the other combatant, but there was nothing very amazing that happened. B+ As for entertainment... Yosai, I found your comic very, very hard to follow. It seems like some sort of simulation sequence, or something, but there's no explanation or story to speak of, and it's just so much work to try and figure it out that I don't even want to try. If your art is vague, and your narration is vague, and your dialogue is vague, nobody will know what is happening except you. Monday, I have had similar problems with your work in the past, specifically fight scenes. I find your combat very hard to follow, although that was significantly less of a problem here. I don't think the little attempts at humor mix very well in your fight, they just seem kind of cute and trite and spoil the serious mood you had going. I also had a hard time believing either of the characters' had much of a motive, as it seems Agent Black has gone from escaping an asylum to shooting Army dudes for no apparent reason. Both of you are probably thinking: \"This guy is an idiot, I get what's going on.\" And this might be true, and maybe other people might know what's going on, but for me, both of these were extremely hard to understand and therefore hard to enjoy. Your art is great, though. I hope to see more in the future.

Well I have to say I was looking forward to this and I was not disappointed. Both of you were great, Monday with the usual laid-back style and I liked the cover. And with Yosai's the artwork was just phenomenal I love Monday's style but the way Yosai did it, I have to give her the higher vote.

Yos- I love the style, very strong designs and layouts and cool use of a monochromatic color shceem. I have to agree with a few of the earlyer comments that the action and physical contact was missing a little , but as a collection of art, very strong!! Monday- I love your opening color page, if the whole comic was like that it would have blown me away. Over all, I like your loose style and use of half tones. Good action but I also have to agree with prior comments that the page layouts can get a little cluttered and busy which tends to confuse and slow down your story. Over all it at a draw for story telling, I have to give Monday the nod for action and Yos the nod for color and design.

(this was written before i read any other comments, so if i repeat anyone, sorry.) overall, i think monday did a better job... in fact i was suprised at how well the story flowed. (so far all the other monday fights i've seen have been a little jumbled to me. not that they still weren't fun to read, mind you, cause they are.). my favorite part was the end. concidering black's memory (or rather, lack there of) it made a lot of sense. after all, does he really remember his own name? that probibly gave orange the openning she needed... yosai, one of the things i think you could have done better was the text, in some parts it was fairly hard to read... another would have been the action. it was nice and all, but a little hard to follow. i loved both in the end, but i gave monday the higher points this time. great work, both of you.

Yosai- Friggen beautiful, but I couldnt understand anything but the pretty shapes. So much potential. Kick some ass on ur next one, but I couldnt figure out what was happening in this particular fight. Monday- Great as usual. I enjoy your work a lot, and it continues to grow and grow in complexity and involvement. Keep up the great work.

Orange - I gotta say that you have some crazy crazy drawing skills. The problem is I had no idea what was going on. I think it was because of the pure mass of speed lines. I couldn't distinguish character movement from the general back and foreground. Also the partially drawn characters didn't help. I realize you might have been taking some sort of artistic license with it but honestly it just left me wondering what happened. Even your text was hard to read. A general rule of thumb: Small+cursive=hard to read. It seemed like you had some definite thought going on beyond the battle. And while it was beyond me, I look forward to seeing what you can do once you get the hang of things. Black - I'm seriously impressed with your performance. The biggest problem I've always had with your comics is that your art was holding up your story. Not to say your story was bad but it was really hard to determine was you were trying to convey with the convoluted fashion with which you presented it. Not with this comic though. I got it and I loved it. Though the specifics were a bit shady I'd say thats just fine considering Black obtains all the relevant information on post-its. Your art seems to have leveled up as well and your choreography during the fight was amazing. Really liked the directional mic/sniper rifle idea too. Keep it up. --- Both of you keep at it. I can't wait for your next comics. Final vote goes to Black.

I'm getting the impression that Yosai's comic feels more, as opposed to Monday's comic thinks more. Both excellent though. Monday-More fighting, less backstory. Yosai- Make it easier for the text to be read.

Yosai, you already gave me the down low on whatchu felt about da battle so, I'll say yeah, the battle scene was a bit hard to follow, but all in all good quality. I'm thoroughly impressed with the visual quality on both sides, they look utterly fantastic! They were however, both relatively confusing. Yosai's much moreso, even though I completely love the colour scheme idea. I'm a sucker for anything with a lot of red as it is. :)

yos:, twas cool, but like I said before, I'm kinda disappointed because it was rather confusing, and the lack of physical contact (like when they had knife fight) covered with effects kinda made it.. even more weird. The style you chose is cool though, and you definitely can do it. Dontslack off next time... 4 weeks man, 4 weeks. jangan biarkan obsessi overrides dirimu >:D But still, it was a good show !!! black: you've improved so much from the last time and your drawing is more consistent, and you gave more space for eyes to breathe from panels to panels. I like it, overall, kinda disappointed that your ending is.. well.. cliffy. But I like the script. Needs more anatomy work, but I already told you that. Nice job. Keep it up.

Yosai- I really liked the color scheme of your comic, but there were parts where the action was a little confusing. I did take points off for that becauuse it disrputted the flow for me, overall really good though, in the end I still liked it which counts. Monday- Good comic as well, less confusing and more to the point than yosai's comic which was a plus for me, although I do feel the quality could be a bit better. I was more entertained with your comic so I gave you the nudge.
