Whoa: I'm a fan of traditional art (but I'm learnin Photoshop anyway) and your stuff is awesome (I need to work on my coloring). Your story's intriguing, but I wanted to see more Vs Cog stuff, seemed like Beyond Battle type of writing.
Cog: Hmm, its too bad you couldnt get the whole battle in Jacky-boy..(though I'm still not too sure why, I'm lookin forward to that beyond). Nice art as always, the detailed backgrounds are great, but they clash a bit when there's no tone at all (it's difficult at first to distinguish foreground and background in that first panel) And the story was interestin and funny (I wanted to make that furry joke...but ya beat me to it.) Cant wait to see if that bread thing was just random or actually came from somewhere...

Cog, the maximum page count you can submit for normal battles is 10, read the FAQ and see for yourself. You uploaded 10 pages...... I posted 10 pages. I see that you already posted the pages as a Beyond Battle which is option #3( I will try to get it up as soon as I can). Option #2 would be to paste your pages together in a graphics program like Monday and many others already do. Option #1 would have been to actually read the submisson guidelines and only make a 10 page fight.....how the hell am I supposed to know what you are doing when you don't?
Rabbit - when using only a few values of shading, things can get confusing pretty quickly, as they did in your comic. Be more sparse with your use of grey, and embrace the high contrast between darks and lights. Having absolute white or black can help at times. There's a good tutorial in C:/Tools on how to better separate the background from foreground, send me a PM and I'll look it up for you. Your male figures also are looking like they need a bit of work, especially Black in the second panel of page 3 and Buh in the third panel of page 4. The reason Cog looks so effeminate in page 7 is probably a combination between his pose and his wide womanly hips. After all is said in done, this is still a very good coming out, and a solid first fight.
Jack - You use a great deal of 90 degree angled shots, which sucks all the emotion and dynamic out of a scene. Take some more risks with your points of view, and mess with your perspective here and there. The flashback scene was hilarious, was it inspired by the Potter Puppet Pals? I didn't understand the ending with the giant bread monster, it seemed more or less random and just tagged on. Anyway, I think you could stand to separate background from foreground more as well, especially with your super-detailed backgrounds that appear here and there.

I gotta say, I was kinda dissappointed from both ends. :\\ But Whoah, it was your first battle and you did alright- though Cog wasn't in it nearly as much as he shoulda been.
And Cog, your style would be killer if you'd clean it up a bit. x:

i give this to Cog because his fight was finished.. more or less.
art wise, both were rushed. Rabbitjunk draws nice femal figures, but the most detailed thing in the whole fight was the girl's bra... the greytones were all over the place. but i like her style. cog on the other hand, had me deciphering the background. the first few pages were good, then he slacked. the ending would have been better if he had paced things better and had more text explaining what was going on
sidenote: isnt 'snouts' what VCPD uses to reffer to furries? i dont think VCPD call themselves that.
but nice battle guys.
rabbit, you can easily do better than this if you spend a bit more time on panels. also panel size has to reflect importance, establishing shots have to be bigger. (eg when u introduce a new scene or background)
Wolfboy. i think you need to work more on you camera placement, rather than actual inking style. you could make the panel look more coherent and viewable. practive makes perfect.

Rabbitjunk: good pacing and pretty good panelling....but the overall art was sloppy and rushed....I would like to see you put more effort into less pages....I also had to deduct a lot of points due to you not working your opponent more into your story...
Cog: you absolutely have to clean up your pencil lines and finetune your inks.....some post production work in photoshop would really work in your favor....there are some good basics available in the tutorials section of the forums..you did a better job of including your opponent within your storyline...but I found your pacing and the end result still lacking....your idea was good....but you didn't play it out as well as you could have
HOLY SHIT! I have 6 hours and 40 minutes to make this my first ever 100% completed battle and I think I can do it! Good luck Terry.
