K first off I didn't really notice how the Kotori character was out of character. She is an aristocratic succubus from a plane in which humans are the lowest tier of racial life. So I don't know how in Kali's entrie it didn't show this. From some of the comments it seems to me as if Kotori is known outside of void, and people are bringing that into void.And I am of the opinion that characters change within the void universe what is out side of it is of no consquence ie. Luniara's character Lune in void was very diffrent from her online comic Lune, becuase her battles at void helped shape it's void identity. But for me from reading the bio (yes all the sub races as well, the mask damon characters were a particularly cool touch by the way) and the previous battles the void kotori seemed a diffrent take then Kotori(the artist) but not out of character. But whichever onto the art. Kotori- Your entrie was good, and your character detail and posing was good. But this threw into relief how the backgrounds were not at the same level. And after reading your first battle, that though it wasn't inked, the over all feel of the characters in their environment was much stonger. In the current one they seemed to be floating in a white gap for most of it, and where there were backgrounds they wern't as solidly drawn as your characters. The joke in the end was hella funny. And the over all pacing was pretty good. Kali- I really liked the time you took in getting to the final moment. The over all pacing was very strong. Your backgrounds like kotori's seem to be your week point. But you did seem to have enough of them in there at a detailed enough level that I was never unsure as to where they were. The character work was good. And you did something which I am a huge sucker for which is added depth to your character by bringing in another hunter as well as showing Kali's emotional state with the \"I wanna go home\" bit of text. This leads me to want to see more of how the character is going to unfold and full fills the old addage of \"always leave em wanting more\" So In the end even tho it was close I had to give the node to Kali on this, the character development, depth, and overall improvment of the page work from your last battle made the diffrence in my votes.But definatly an awesome entrie from both of yous. *I totally forgot to comment on this battle before I left so this comment is comin from Galveston, Texas and is costin 0.69 cents a minute muhahahahaha most expensive comment ever EVER!

Thanks for all the feedback so far everyone!! To the two most recent comments - I agree with you, I made Kotori I think too out of character and for that I regret it very much. I wanted to show her more noble and 'demonic' side when I chose to make her the way she is, but I may have just gone too far. ^^; I'm sorry you didn't really feel my art style, but that's less of something that I can 'help', though I will definetly keep those crits in mind for the future. Amsuign stories from the both of yas - i enoyed that. however, kotori gets my vote here - the art was sharper, cleaner and generally more consitnat... still, great fun form the both of yas - congrats!

Wyvern winning this battle would be a serious injustice to Kotori's character development. There are good points to Wyvern's artistic style, but the things that stick out the most to me are the inconsistancies. Wyvern's own characters are drawn well and consistantly, but Kotori's characters are clearly handled with less care. There are several instances of Kotori's mouth being disproportionately large compared to her face, and the henchman's size seems to fluctuate. Also, while the loose, sketchy look may be trendy, I prefer a bit of definition. Kotori's work seems more appropriate for a finished work. They're both good works, but I have to give Kotori the edge. Her art is better, and so is her writing. It is a bit more amusing, and much, much more considerate of her opponent's character.

awesome fight from both contestants Kotori had good flow. and i liked the inks. and the lesbianism is always good Wyverns was great, yeah the last page wasnt fully inked (school's a bitch) but the fight was very creative and was fun to read.
