It's always an interesting time when we end up in a three-way in these tournaments, and all three of you did deliver this round, and I know this was an hella of round to make, I was seeing on the discord many obstacles in real life affected a bunch of artists this round, I am impressive nonetheless that ya'll manage to produce some pages given the circumstances.

Badger-A strong entry, I know you wanted to do more and time was not on your side this round, but what you did make is still great.Though I wish to see more on the inner workings of the Inquisition organization in future comics.

Raltz- Your unique style and flair shines through once again in this comic, and I'm not gonna lie, that licking of the eyeball part was disturbing (and a bit sensual) nice job.

Doe- Xiba's past and her mythology is the big draw to me, with each chapter we see more and more of her past and culture, great work with your paneling and line art here, though I felt your scars these rounds were a bit tamer compared to what you did to Mr.Kent's Raygun last round.

Great job and I look forward to the next rounds.

You have fun scar ideas and the way you use green in this comic is really awesome.

As always, you crush every competition you do with some of the most incredible art I've personally ever seen with the time constraints you work with. You cooked and I loved the fight, the colors and the scars. Very impressive work all around!

Badger -

With or without time to work on things, you always crank out a banger, Badger. I love you black and white aesthetic with the deep shadows/hard black silhouettes. Absolutely phenomenal.

Raltz -

I had no clue Abyss could act on her own and move away from King while she was asleep, this information really opens up a lot of questions that I hope get answered. Is Abyss more powerful than King? Can she go as much distance away from her host as she likes? Does she even need King or are there requirements put upon her once the deal was made? Excited to see where these characters go from here.

DOE.

This comic is so fucking good. I'm zooming in on every little detail and finding treasures. I love all of the subtle storytelling: the eyes everywhere, the bursts of green out the window showing just how much Xiba's magic has influenced the city, the way the landscape blends in with Xiba's memories of the past, the sparkle of light obscuring her mother's face, the way the blood acts as both in-universe substance and framing device, among other things, are all so delicious!!!

I also LOVE your use of spot blacks and hints of color to help focus the eye and guide the feeling of each scene. I'm obsessed with the way Xiba rose up after Carver seemed to have beaten her, showing that she had the upper hand in the end, but chose a crueler path for him than simply defeating him in combat.

I LOVE THE FLASHBACK!!! Putting Carver in Xiba's shoes, making him not only see but FEEL what she went through, was such a powerful response to his dismissal of her pain and her people. I love all of the details you included in that flashback—perhaps the whole story of how her civilization disappeared. But is it just me, or was Xiba not actually the last? I'm looking forward to whatever history you reveal next, because I'm sure there's more to the story and it's going to be POWERFUL, just as this was!

AND THAT CLIFFHANGER AT THE END! I'm dying to find out what happens next!!! amazing comic, thank you for gracing us with your art 🙏

This was a fun comic to read! I enjoyed the format/style changes and chuckled here and there at the comedy bits.

Badger:

The character dialogue is so good, I love the paneling, and expressions. Page 4 was so delicious with the blood strings and composition. I’ll be the first to say here that page 8 panel 2? *Tucks hair behind ear.* Love it.

Doe:

From the very first page I was going SHEESH. The amount of work, detailing, and even colors in the timeframe given is deserving of praise. I fucking love the energy you gave Carver, the display of Xiba’s power, King’s character, the combat/action, and pacing. This comic was a delight to read.

I honestly don’t have any critique to give. Well done!
