You both did fantastic on these, I loved both scar ideas!

Heya Batty! It was a pleasure to be your opponent and make a comic with Zhanic, he is a great character and despite having left him with a terrible scar i sincerely adore him and hope to see his story continue! It was delight to read your portrayal of Choko, you really made her cynical personality drip off the page with every line and expression! I was also impressed by the well detailed office setting, and the fun variety of background fx you used in the later pages. Your scar was a fun idea and one I found very interesting to consider.

THIS COMIC WAS REALLY CUTE!!! I love your writing so much! Choko's unfazed and grumpy attitude played so well next to Zhanic's goofy cheerfulness. I also love the NPCs which I'm guessing you came up with? I'm so glad you joined the tournament and I love everything from you!!!

I'm so joyfully conflicted between these comics

because both of these are good, Zhanic puts Varaki in the subtext, while Choko puts Varaki in the forefront.

Is that Zhanic depicts Chokos character as angry and aggressive

While Choko Depicts her character as passive. Both seem like the correct character for da coppa, just something I noticed.

But it goes beyond that. CHOKO'S character gets the equivalent of a piercing containing her soul. ZHANIC'S character gets a literal debilitating injury AND an infection.

"vro what did this person do to you, he was just chilling??" And that's why I enjoy both of them so much, it gives me something substantial to ramble about and engage with without being an overwhelming amount of content, rather than "This guy is cool because X or Y, and I personally like him cause he just like me fr."

Dunno if this added anything of importance, but that's what I thought of em!

BEARD

I love that this just takes place in an office building (and/or VCPD headquarters, etc), the juxtaposition of “boring office work” and “oh my god her soul is leaving her body” is really fun hahaha. I like that the scar is a result of Zhanic trying to help (as expected!) it feels really right for his character and the way it happens is just so fun. Zhanic’s updated design looks great and the tone of this comic in general is just such a fun time, even though Choko almost died! Your writing is always a treat!

I LOVE Madoka Magica hahah. LOOK, I’m just saying… There's a lot of fun you can have with the concept of a soul gem.

Overall, this was such a cute and funny comic! Your writing was great!! The setup was locked and loaded on page one without the reader even realizing it until the moment hits, and that had me smiling.

And it’s so good to see Zhanic again!! He’s so sweet, and look how helpful he was!!

This is such a fun comic!! I love the idea of having a scar match lean more comedic :D It really does feel like a world where normal office antics and insane magical happenings can be in just a few minutes of each other, even being one and the same. I also just really love the colors and effects used throughout page 3 in general :]

I said it in the server but I love how you depicted mundane conversations inside a police office, and the scar was such a cool idea. I'm very intrigued as to what this could mean if you win, how this overall affects Choko!

I enjoyed this so incredibly much, first off congrats for finishing, I know it was a time crunch! Everything flowed super well, and it was a super fun scar idea! Zhanic really is such a sweetheart, and I had a very good laugh at Choko's final line, it killed me hahaha
