RORA I need my love for your comic to be officially recorded here!!! I love the way you showed love (maybe lust) blooming on a battlefield, and then the sudden twist when Varaki got to Sojiin was so shocking!!! I could feel Calamity's panic, Koe's confusion and then rage, and Sojiin's fear and disorientation as she went into a supernatural fight or flight mode. And then Sojiin's despair after realizing what she did. Just stellar writing, and I personally think it's going to give you the edge in this battle but either way I'm so stoked to tell more stories with you and with these two problematic sapphics!!! thanks for the amazing battle and I wish you luck in the tournament and in everything else you do!

This was insanely ambitious and cool, putting a huge warzone in the background with a variety of monsters and characters in almost every panel is honestly so impressive. It was also nice to see a more vulnerable and emotional side of calamity and sojiin after appearing as an untouchable badass in her earlier comics. I am curious to see how you will continue to develop sojiin after this! Tragic ending but especially for koe haha

Thank you fort he awesome feedback, I was afraid when I started doing his speech bubbles it wouldn't come across as intentional. Sadly it appears I was correct! I will do better on future Calamity showings for it to look intentional, maybe thicken the outlines around his words. I was trying to convey that he's a little outside of the meta within the world, so his words are struggling to be contained by their word balloons. Thanks again for the feedback, I will try something else and see if that gets improved feedback :>

I was so impressed with how chaotic and gruesome your comic was, but I felt like it was still very easy to follow! I never got lost while following the main action!

To praise it a little more, when I read it the first time, I focused mostly on Sojiin and Koe’s interaction. The second time, I paid more attention to the background fights, and that was really fun to see because there was so much more to discover.

The switch-up was exciting and unexpected! Koe’s scar was kinda pretty ngl! If I can point out anything, sometimes your word bubbles are a bit too tight. Mostly with Calamity’s. The words running into the borders of the bubble made them a little hard to read. Easy fix for next time and i look forward to more comics <3

Big fan of how you’ve set this comic right in the middle of a massive battle, it really adds to the scale of what’s going on at Jade Town and it’s fun to see everyone else fighting in the background :) There’s so much energy in the first part of the comic, which makes the tone shift have so much more impact. Characterization is great here and the scar is very cool. Great work!

Man, though, what a heartbreak :( awesome scar, but, damnnnn the circumstances leading to it. I'll echo Techno that it was very fun to have Calamity switch up like that, it gives him a lot more depth beyond the "rude and crude sidekick" bit!

Incredible entry! I love the dynamic between the two, and having them flirt while utter chaos is happening in the background is an excellent bit lmao.

The sudden shift in tone is super juicy, too. Obviously there's the drama and irony in it that I enjoy, but a part of it that I found very interesting is how Calamity changes in it too. He's snarky and chaotic throughout most of the comic, but the moment that he realizes that Sojin is about to do something that she'll regret, he tries his best to stop her without hurting her.

These really are just likely two competing glurge lesbians vs disaster lesbians narratives haha. Also thank you both for the cameos.

Time to mash our baddies and see who walks out on top!
