CONGRATS ON FINISHING THIS COMIC!! WOOO!!
A little late to comment but I've been cheering you on for so long, so you already know my thoughts hahaha.
Still, I just wanted to say how exciting it's been to watch this come together! It's so satisfying to see more of his past and the way you captured all the tragedy alongside his final resolve ?!? Poetic cinema.
O Talon beloved... you're really going through it, but I'm still dying to see more!!
ALSO Cadenza cameo ?! ahhhhaha I'm going INSANE. THANKS.
your designs and uses of colours as part of your storytelling is always so cool. Glad you were able to get this one out of your system after two years! It's always a good day when we're blessed with more Talon lore
The more I see this poor man suffer the more I can't help be feel for this man deeper. You really did an amazing job on showing Talon's deep turmoil and miser at everything single thing he has to go through just to survive. Hell, I truly see now that time through commitment produces a visual masterpiece such as this, srsly, the vibrant colors you've worked hard on this is genuinely mouthwatering and fantastic. Hope this man reaches the peace he deserves at the very end of this rough, dark tunnel.. amazing storytelling as always.
congrats on seeing this through to the finish!
Incredible work
This is such a wonderful comic, Badger! I’m really feeling floored by the amount of tragedy this young man faces and can’t wait to see where his journey takes him
I'm completely floored by this- THIS WAS INCREDIBLE!
Talon going through so much torment but finding strength in his love and care for others, regardless of how much weight grief and tragedy put on his back is truly beautiful.
Not only is your writing amazing but your draftsmanship, dialogue, rendering, palette- everything in here is stunning. I am blown away! This is probably one of my favorite comics so far- FANTASTIC WORK BADGER!!! Talon is a character I'm always happy to see!
I CANT BELIEVE HOW TRAGIC AND BEAUTIFUL THIS WAS
I know you were working super hard on it and it SHOWS, this comic meant a lot to you and very much to Talon, hes so tragic and complex and I want to give him a hug but I'd die and thats even more tragic!!
(Holden will hug him for us all =P)
you did an amazing job and I can't wait to see where his story goes from here, I hope the Crew can help him forgive himself!
there aren't enough words to describe how fucking good this is. I'm obsessed with the colors, I love the way you draw your guys, I love the world building going on here, I love the absolute ANGST of this story and that really raw feeling of a mistake you can never undo. I'm dying to know what exactly led to that moment, what brought us all here. I wanna print this comic out and put it on my wall it's so fucking pretty!!!!
This was such an amazing comic, your coloring is fantastic and thank you for the Garland cameo.
I want to talk meta for a moment...
So, I first came up with this character about 11 years ago. The subject of this comic is a cornerstone of his entire storyline, a major part of the character that I've somehow managed to keep kind of quiet about. And now, it's finally become relevant and I can openly talk about this big supposed "secret" both I and the character have been hiding for over a decade. I knew for a very long time that I wanted to eventually tackle this plotline, but it never felt like the right time. It feels a little surreal getting to this point. Like one chapter closing and another one starting.
It's probably pretty obvious that this character is important to me, so if you've made it this far, thank you for reading about my sad necromancer, it always means a lot to me. More coming soon. :)
