Love the way you use value for shadows, gives the scenes a lot of dimension that compensates for the sketchy style (which I genuinely like regardless).
High quality work as always!!! Obviously, I'd love to see things more polished and complete, but it's hard to be mad when your pencils are so nice to look at and everything is still easy to read and understand! I love your use of reds here, and the way Dairyu was able to figure out the problem because of tremors in the air, which of course she'd be more sensitive to! The brawl between Nagore and Zal was brutal, and had me in suspense the whole time because I want both characters to be okay!!! Overall this was a very fun finale and I hope you get some good rest (but I'm also excited to see what you have planned next hehe)!
You continue delivering near flawless linework and great expressions on both humans and monsters from start to finish, it's great to see such solid consistency throughout the tournament that you can put all the issues together and never see a quality dip. You came up with a creative challenge for the kaiju while still managing to keep things lighthearted as has been from Round 1, with a hint of peril with the reveal of Varaki's meddling (sharp-eyed readers would notice something was different visually about these sandgrubs) Thank you for a great fun ride through the tournament
@Snowy
I can sense the fatigue from such a grueling tournament caught up a bit in this round (and you gave yourself an even greater challenger by adding DEUS into the mix), but I won't dwell on the little wrinkles I'm sure you're well aware of by now, and I'll highlight you did a great job incorporating Zal and Nagore's monster forms into your flowy style. There's been some good testing of your tools and stretching your design muscles throughout this tournament, I think it's definitely helped make you stronger overall too
@JellyRaptor
Another tournament closed out and another terrific delivery of a climactic battle, you really shine in these moments, and it really feels like you've manage to take in all you could from past rounds and find moments to apply it here (typography is fitting better, there are fewer cramped panels, etc), even if there are a couple pages with less polish to manage to make this many with this much time is still monumental given the difficulty scale of the content (especially as you are one of the few that managed to keep every kaiju battle in a city, multiplying the time and work needed for your backgrounds, applause for this) You've earned your rest alongside your fellow artists
These were all absolutely fantastic. Amazing job everyone, it's clear you all put lots of effort on your rounds. Varaki being the constant threat is such a fun spin for these stories. The way you all draw Kaijus is mind blowing, your skills as artists really really shine in these rounds.
PETRICHOR - Gorgeous lines and artwork as always, you deliver every single time with quality and entertainment. Having Nagore and Dairyu be wasted through the battle is so clever and cute! I love the chemistry between the characters and the pacing was super comfortable and nice to read through
SNOWY - Stunning inks and art- air and clouds being your bread and butter makes your work shine every single time. The whole thing with Deus blew me away, it was so big brained I loved it! This round feels like it has the higher stakes and I live for it. I'm on the edge of my seat wondering what's gonna happen next!
JELLY RAPTOR- Your art style is so unique and appealing, it's always a treat to see. My one and only nitpick would be to watch out with the characters standing in a detailed background. Sometimes they meld a little bit and it's hard to distinguish them against the backdrop. You definitely had the right idea on page 6 onward with the backgrounds being slightly less opaque compared to the characters! If a background is far enough you can go by with little to no details on the buildings, since they are not the focus on the scene; that and differences in line weight will heighten your art even more (I struggle with that too haha).
The fight scenes were super dynamic and fun to watch- the sense of urgency is very present and powerful in a very good way. The splash of red emphasizes things super nicely. Poor Zal, I want to know what happens to her after! She is a very compelling character to watch
All in all, this was an incredible round all around. Thank you for your hard work and this feast for the eyes
This really was a fun read, god i just love the style and paneling you do, the story for this one is really fun too. Very nice job! The action was great, characters great, etc.
Absolutely fire showing, Jelly. Superb panel planning, and I enjoyed how you were able to capture Nagore's personality with a twist so she was able to behave differently with good reason. This was a fun read, congrats on such a good conclusion to this overall storyline!

I'm blasted away by the detail and amount of pages you can do in so short time, awesome action, angles and fights Jelly! Big fan.

Looks like you've set up enough questions to subsequently be answered. I'm hooked!
