Dekkard: I'll be honest, I didn't look at Takame's profile before reading this so I honestly just assumed that your character was an abnormally large but ultimately normal woman at first, lol. Enjoyed the variety of angles and her characterization throughout this!

Cybermananon: I loved the textured look you gave throughout all of you pages! The fight scene between the two was stellar as well - you used Tremora's webbing creatively and all the action flowed together very nicely :]

I like the variety of shots you’ve got going here, including some lower angles that are quintessential for kaiju cinema to give the sense of scale of monsters, and points for getting a full color comic out. The most glaring issue to me that you can easily fix in your next battle is your resolution: start drawing in larger canvases with higher resolution, and when you export those pages they will come out looking sharper

Welcome back, and what a great comeback comic this is! Action readability is among the best of Round 1, and when I saw how much effort and intricacy you put in Tremora’s design I was excited to see that go into play in combat and I wasn’t disappointed. I have to also applaud you for having so much building background work throughout the comic, that is not easy to accomplish and it’s generally one of the things that hold many artists back from urban environment kaiju battles. While I would have liked to see more life on the ground floors that the monsters battled (cars, signs, trashcans, etc.) I still give you points for trying to go the distance all the same. It really helped liven the fight even more and cemented that these were giant monsters whose every movement affects the world around them. Excited to see more Tremora in the future

Takame's characterization was super fun and kept me engaged for the entire comic. The action was very fluid as well, and you did great showing off Takame's speed and Tremora's webs. The story does feel incomplete, as it ends on this big cliffhanger which I assume would be a finisher. That aside, this was a fun fight!

I agree with others here that you're improving with each comic and it's great to see! I want to give you a couple of things that I think could be useful to work on, depending on where you want to focus your work right now. I think practicing quick gesture drawings and drawing from life, focusing on the broad strokes and general shape and structure of both humans and background elements could really help up your drawing, while focusing more on varying up angles and camera distance could really improve your composition. If I might suggest a bit of a challenge, I'd like to see you play around with different comic formats, perhaps using a standard page instead of infinite scroll? I would personally wait on that until you're out of the tournament, but I think those things would really help you moving forward! I liked the flow of the battle in this comic, the way you showed how outmatched your character was at first, and then showed her powering up so she could keep fighting. You've got some good bones in your comic making and I hope you keep working on those skills that add up to give those bones plenty of meat!

The battle poses and overall designs really communicate movement! The hits look like they hurt!

I'll echo the sentiment that you are improving and also to keep working on studies and practice. The chain of events was easy to follow but the ending lacks any sort of resolution. We get the wind uo to what seems to be a powerful attack, but we.neber get to see the final.blpw pr any sort of victory of one combatant over the other. You're not the only one in this event that had this problem, but it's something I noticed in your progress posts on the discord as well. I assumed when the final was posted it would have a proper ending but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Dekard, it's so nice to see you out here strutting your stuff. the stuff is Takame. It's a really unusual monster design and nice to see some classic monster rep. I was enjoying reading your story, but it seems like maybe a page was missing at the end? I hope not. the rest of the art seems so finished. this was a great matchup and it was great to see you having fun!

I really implore that you look into doing studies of anatomy when designing characters, the feet were very distracting on this. The action shots were fun, some of the ones you picked are very difficult to convey properly. I'm a little confused on why Takame's clothes disappeared so suddenly, but it was also a little funny. Nice job!

I think you’ve got a great sense of action and pacing, I think this is one of your best so far. I’d really like to see you slow down a bit and put some more care into the details, there were a couple places where the lines were kinda rushed looking and the coloring went a little out of the lines. Just taking some time at the end of the comic to clean it up can make a huge difference. I know you mentioned the backgrounds need work but I think it was a good start on your background mastery journey. Keep it up!

I think the colors you did were great, and seeing how long the comic is as a single image (the wip shots) I've seen are, honestly impressive, and seeing it colored now is nice. Good job!

You should try varying up the compositions and do bigger establishing shots as well as smaller close up ones. For example it would be nice to see a close up of what she was eating because I wasn’t sure at first. Congrats on completing the comic.
