Absolutely fantastic work! I don't think that I can write about everybody's contributions without taking literal hours, but it's extremely clear that everybody managed to get their best work out! There were so many amazing moments, like Simon's overall goofiness, Satraxia's brawl with The Heir, Vidia and Charlie discussing whether or not there's another Arma, etc. My favorite probably has to be the ending between Miller and Raven, though - it genuinely had me tearing up!

So many stories to comment on that it took way too long to sit down and write anything. You guys did such a great job putting this together! I enjoyed seeing what everyone has been up to during ARMA!

I hope I dont miss anyone, but here goes:

Opal Auspice: So beautiful and a killer page to start the comic! The whole story was fascinating! I’m still kinda in love with the entire conversation happening on page 8 and Vidia’s expression.

Hackmanite Hijinx: Cute seeing this lil guy weaving himself through the collab! The animation was so fun too!!

Crystal Ruins: Man, if even the plane can't get out of here SMH I ALSO wonder how nukes would have worked out in this situation

Crash Out: WTH?! That was A GREAT FIGHT! It was so hyped! Heir of the Universe, I was unaware of your swag, I'm sorry. Satraxia, every time I see you, I become a bigger fan. I love you

Cool Space Rock Mittens, Bro!: Really fun idea to make a crystal cult! Maybe ppl will talk about him more now, like he wanted

Managing the Surroundings: Rereading this after ARMA is pretty funny! It’s a unique solution, and I second Batty’s comment. That’s gonna be a lot of blessed water.

Shine on, You Crazy Diamond: GHOST!! So out of the loop when it comes to their relationship, but I feel like it doesn't matter because you showed his emotion & personality so beautifully. It makes me care for them so much! I gotta see them interacting someday.

Nucleation:

Making sure everyone gets their kudos was important to me, but it’s this comic that had me going ‘How can I NOT comment?”

I felt INSANE reading this. After everything Miller has gone through. All his battles written out for us to see…all leading up to this moment with Raven? CINEMA. Maybe I’m biased b/c I am a sucker for romance, but knowing these characters are having that happy ending after so much struggle and heartbreak?? LOVE IT! CONGRATS TO THEM!

And finally Special shout-out to Rose & Badger for the cover and table of contents!! That extra effort ties everything together <3

This was so rad!! Sorry I didn't get the chance to comment earlier, but reading all these stories really helped invigorate me while working on Arma! One of my favorite things about Arma is these side stories, seeing how everyone else is going about their business and trying to cope, and this is a perfect example of that :3

The intro with Vidia and crew was such a nice way to open; I almost feel bad for Vidia, having to potentially face the reality that she didn't stop Arma for good. I did wonder how y'all would handle that revelation, and I think you did an excellent job! Charlie's line was fantastic, illustrating the blurry line between cause and effect.

The throughline with Simon was a surprising highlight as well XDD Poor lil guy, he's just trying to help!! I hope he gets some nice rest after this.

I loved Dekkard immediately jumping into action!! and ngl the line "Wish I had some nukes" made me wheeze XDD I'm excited to see his adventures in the Technodome tho!

The fight between Heir and Satraxia was RAD and ngl I have been rotating it in my mind ever since reading this. Love the energy of just "if I can't fight the thing I actually want to, you'll make a nice substitute". Also love the fight choreography!! also I desperately need Satraxia to meet Serath. she'll be insufferable about getting to actually fight Lumikki lmaooooooo

Wreckquim's shenanigans made me laugh XDD right up until the horrifying crystal mouth-drill. excellent. fantastic. never want to think about that again XD

Loving the teamwork between C+C to figure out a way to un-crystallize peeps!! They're gonna need a whole lot of blessed water tho looool

Ah, man. Ghost's story gave me FEELINGS. how dare you. Like, he's a right bastard and he's being a dick here, but I am admittedly a sucker for Villain Is Disappointed When Their Rival Is Defeated (By Something Else). And, maybe it's the grayscale, or the fact that he's just talking to himself the whole time, but I could really feel Ghost's solitude here. Like, he's the only non-crystallized person around, and the comic conveyed that sense of loneliness really well. Or maybe I'm reading into things too much haha

and finally. What a finale, goddamn. Dropping a real bombshell right there at the end! Gotta admit I didn't see that coming at all; really wish we'd gotten to see that unreleased comic, but still! One hell of an ending for one hell of a comic.

Ever since I participated in the Arma Side story collab that gave birth to the VCV a few years ago, these types of community events will always have a special place in my heart. Everyone did an amazing job. I love the variety of art styles and diverse stories. Congratulations all around. What a great precursor for the main battle!

Rose - That cover art is deceiving in a good way. It evokes peace and beauty that betrays the danger transpiring within and I love that about it.

Opal Auspice (Py and Petri) - Art is superb! Both your styles just simply meld beautifully together and it's always nice to see the chaotic but sweet dynamic between Vidia and Nagore. Your chapter is short and sweet but I know this is just a teaser to something bigger so I'll keep my eyes open!

Hackmanite Hijinx (TRM) - This was such a fun comic and I LOVE the animations! I would never expect Arena and Simon in a chapter/comic together but I am here for it (albeit very brief). Breaking it into several parts within the collab is a neat way to kind of imply time passing. Always made me smile to see Simon pop up in between the stories.

Crystal Ruins (Dekkard) - This sure is a nice introduction for Dekkard to get into the thick of the Voidlands story arc. Wonder if he'll make friends or foes (maybe both?)

Crash Out (Camel, Footini) - Seeing Dragonball style duel in this collab was a welcome surprise! You two worked really great together on this one. The intense inks/shadows and vibrant colors really brought this already action-packed chapter to the next level. Extremely well done both of you.

Cool Space Rock Mittens, Bro! (boo) - This is such a wacky chapter that I can only expect Boo to pull off while taking us back to V-Cup 2022. The crystal cult was such an interesting idea with lots of story potential I think! Makes me wonder if they'll still be around after arma.

Managing the Surroundings (Durian) - Nice to see Craig and Cygnus using their skills to help some folks from this calamity. Shining a spotlight to focus on these heroic deeds on the side is always appreciated <3

Shine on, You Crazy Diamond (Shen) - Ahhhh Ghost! I missed that scoundrel. I did not know what to expect but I gasped seeing his rival Rocio encased in a crystal. His reaction about seeing her in this state just reminded me why I adore him so much. Shamelessly abrasive but charming at the same time. Ghost vs Rocio is one of my all time fave fights in Void and I am so glad to see these two together in a comic again.

Nucleation (Pyras) - I can't tell you how many times I read this and I felt all the emotions every time. First, the artwork is phenomenal. I think I stared at that first page for a good 5 minutes before moving on lol. The grayscale, tones and spot blacks is such a classic combo that you do so darn well. Raven just keeps getting better and better in your style. You write her as if she's a character you've known as much as your own. It's such a sweet end for a chapter between Miller and Raven who have both been through so much on their own before finding each other - the process of which is a story yet to be fully told (Sandbox, Labyrinth). Anyhow, I could go on and on but I can't wait to create an art to honor this beautiful comic you did. It has greatly inspired me.

Another excellent arma collab!

Petri/Pyras: Absolutely stunning colors on this one! I get a sense of tension in the air reading this comic, like a calm before the storm. Good stuff! (thanks for cameoing Charlie!)

TRM/Pyras: Love the interaction between Simon and Arena, I thought it was pretty funny! Also, TRM, Simon's further shenanigans throughout the comic are great, it's really fun to see what he's up to in between other stories :)

Dekkard: I think this comic really sells how the voidlands are truly trapped in the crystal dome, if even a fighter jet can't escape! The long scroll format works well here and gives the story a nice sense of movement.

Camel/Footini: This is a super sick fight scene, I really like how The Heir's cape is used as part of the layouts. The paneling here is exquisite. Very fun!

Boogi: I like the crystal cult villain! I think this is a good creative way to have an antagonist to fight without going for the Threat herself.

Durian: Looks like the duo found a solution to free the crystallized people! Always a treat to see these two.

Shen: Love this interaction! I feel like this says so much about Ghost's personality in a short amount of time. I hope to see these two interact again in the future once everyone's been un-crystallized!

Pyras (Miller/Raven): Oh man, this was really touching, is this a Miller retirement?? Is Miller officially retiring?? Feels like the end of an era! Either way this was a very nice wrap-up comic for the collab and I enjoyed all the throwback references to previous void crises.

Special thanks to Rose for organizing the collab and creating a wonderful cover for it! This was a great collab and I'm now very properly hyped for Armageddon 2025 :D

Great collection of stories! Y'all really took it and ran in so many different directions, love seeing all these unique stories riffing off this year's arma!
