AAAOOOOUUUUGGGGHHHHH BOY HOWDY I’d like to start off by apologizing to Snager here real quick because I probably got Cedric horribly out of character here, especially for the first half. Also, my comic kinda looks like shit gfhgf- Despite me not being entirely happy with the final project though, I’m actually pretty proud of how much I managed to make! I had to cut out a scene that I REALLY wanted to add in here to really show that Cedric & 01 are friends instead of saying it (& I’ll probably still make it regardless), but other than that, I managed to get half as much done in a similar-ish quality to my battle against Doe a while back, but within 1/8th the time. It’s a huge improvement! Anyways, I just wanted this first round to really show what the main goal for 01’s character development is, as well as the main themes that I wanted to explore throughout the tournament (if I manage to make it past this round, that is). 01 is a man that staunchly refuses to admit that he cares about those around him, while Cedric is probably the only person who’s smart enough to know that it’s just a front, kind enough to still want to be his friend, and determined enough to manage to *actually pull it off.* Heck, Cedric is probably the main reason why 01 even picked up practicing law! Cedric is the only person in his life right now that can make him feel like a kinder person. Absolutely none of this shows in my comic gfhgfggh- Also I may or may not have thought of giving 01 a painfully one-sided crush on Cedric that would have only been played for laughs, but I was worried about making Snager uncomfy & I didn’t know how to even BEGIN to ask them about it lmao. (Also, if you noticed that the font changes for the entirety of page 3 or that I forgot to add in the dots for Ström’s name, shhhhhhh no you didn’t.)
