OK BATTY i got one for you, too! thanks for being Tay's first battle! I was really nervous about how mean I could make her vs. how mean to make Tix, but they had good chemistry on my end. your story and interactions felt very staged, but like, it's .. a play. it's a setting with characters and our job is to tell the audience something new about the characters! I like how starry the sky is, I need to pick your brain on how you did that. in fact ,everything looks nice and colorful and nicely textured. you really pushed to get yours out and ready looking and put out a good fight for me! you only did plain flats on the talking bits, so it's not that noticeable imo and the right place to shave time imo. You also did a lot of world building for the Sand AU and I regret not doing same! X,D the crashed airplane shelter is a nice touch of atmospheric story telling! your story is a real man v. self, a drama and emotional conflict. you get the violence out of the way at the beginning just so you can tell us more about the characters. and in what could have been a boring talking heads comic, you keep the interest up by showing the creative ways Tix makes her spells. I set her up as a kind of gutter punk kitchen witch, but you remind the audience she also mixes drinks for a living! it helps keep us hanging to see if the bloody face is the final scar or not! on that subject, it is WILD that we did such similar scars? woops? I also like the way you illustrated Tay's powers. I was hoping you'd come up for something for me to adopt because it's hard to show how they work just visually, so far. X,D it's why I put off adding the character until now. But you did a really good job with it, with the stop-sign shaped speech bubble. I WONDER IF OTHER PEOPLE UNDERSTOOD??? did it make more sense in yours than in mine? NO ONE HAS SAID YET reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee And finally , I like Tay's costume with the little patchwork kilt. very on-brand, very sand punk. It looks like you had a lot of fun with my character and I appreciated that u//u thanks so much, Batty and good luck to you and Tix!

Heavenbat- I like the setting, the desert the walled city the worm and the tents under the broken plane-- and i like the green interior with the string lights. I'm not a prude but I feel it was a bit too swear-y I think. Tay seems a little too okay with half of her face bleeding out but I like the scar, the look and color is really nice. Snager- I like the way you draw tix's face and the way you did her spots. The motion is great and I like the song titles and all the details on the walls of the rooms, esp. in the bathroom at the end. I like the idea of Tix wanting to use her voice for the cause but I didn't know what the blue goo was, or why the pets ran away at the end. I hope they come back! Good stuff I like it

Really funny that you both ended up with half face colouring as the scars, holy shit. Batty - Mmm tasty beasts. You did some great design work and posing with them, like when Humvee runs off on the final panel of Page 1. I wasn’t a big fan of the conversation, it felt a bit… forced? But I do like how the scar was a combo deal of the worm attack and funky magic. snager - The expressions are golden. I snorted when Tay woke up all bug eyed, and pretty much every Tix face was super cute. I also loved how you implied Tix’s vibe with her house and attitude towards her pets. It’s giving “necromancer but instead of being mysterious or hot she dumpster dives and uses roadkill”. The story flowed pretty well until the final joke, it didn’t land for me at all. Also, while the wonky lines aid the funny faces, it was kinda jarring for every panel to be like that. The line weight changes constantly, and it looks like you inked the thumbs straight away rather than doing sketches. The bubbles are also haphazardly placed and ellipses, overall leading to a sloppy look. I would suggest warping the sides of the bubbles so they aren’t such a regular shape, and connecting them rather than having loads of separate bubbles coming off the same character.

Batty: The way you gave Tay her scar in your comic was pretty clever. I liked the big worm! Snager: I already mentioned on discord that this comic was funny, especially the ending punchline.

I like how the scars mirror each other! Was that discussed before hand or a happy coincidink?

Heck yeah necromancy. Where to begin? Both of these comics were excellent. I like how Heavenbat's started with the action, and how the characters bounced off one another. And the scar was really creative! I expected it to be more of a realistic wound, but I like the route you went with. I loved the details in Snager's, especially in some of the backgrounds. The goofiness of the dialogue got a chuckle out of me, particularly with Tay reading Tix's song names.
