Lil_Drawins- There's a great sense of place in this thanks to that really tight establishing shot at the beginning. I like Venus's blue speech bubbles and how it shows who she's speaking through. Love the miss on p6 panel 2 where we see maoumi's hair flying from the big swing, it makes the sword seem really heavy! Great lines and spot blacks-- keep it up! Drakkel- there's a good sense of setting here too, the backgrounds are simple but add so much! the full width action shots on page four are awesome. The greyscale looks nice and the cliffhanger has me intrigued, really good stuff! Fridgeman- I like your page setups and the linework is lovely and thick, it looks great. The 4komas at the end were funny and the gag at the beginning where it seemed like it would be something dangerous but they were just going shopping. Also, face reveal! I hope to see more of Maoumi he's a really intriguing character.

Lil_Drawins: Your environment work in this is nothing short of astounding, and your character interaction is much the same! Loved your premise it’s execution, especially the brief moments of comedy used to break up more serious parts of your comic! Drakk: Fantastic physical comedy in the beginning scene of this comic, and such a sweet ending too! Love to see the return of Scarlett, and you put together such a lovely conversation between the 4 characters here - it’s been a joy to go another round with you!

Your pages are always so dynamic and easy to follow, and that last page has me like, 👀 Fridge:AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I didn't expect you to go with my offhand comic to basically make both our comics Canon? To have yours happen first and as a follow up having mine, a delight to read and I feel Maoumis pain 😔 Lil:Holy shit dude your inks!! And the minimal coloring used to guide the eye? Perfect, phenomenal, can't wait to see what you do next with these ladies😌

Lil: That was a fun comic! I like how you used Venus' ghost powers. The possession stuff was really fun and I liked the detail of V's star-scar appearing on people. Nice job! Fridge: Also fun! You've improved a lot in the past year and it really shows! Good work!

Christ, I've been out of the crit game for weeks. Let's talk about this Final Round! To preface, I went back and re-read everyone's previous Invitational entries to get a good feel of what to expect for this final round. And I just wanna congratulate you three for submitting solid looking one-week comics throughout this tournament. That's tough to do, believe me. Take a bow. LIL DRAWINS I really dig the dynamic between Maple and Lily. It's been fun seeing how well they mesh while on these wacky adventures. Definitely a duo I want to root for. You've spent a commendable amount of comic space spotlighting your opponents, and I love seeing your interpretations and letting these characters shine. Well done. DRAKKEL Glam rock dragon ghost, we love to see it. I like how stretchy she gets with her ghost shenanigans, and I don't know if you wrote her songs yourself, but that's hard to do. Excellent job. I also need to see her reunite with her kid, and I need to cry over it. FRIDGEMAN You've improved with every subsequent comic in this tournament, and I tip my hat. This was significantly sillier compared to Maoumi's first fight, and that's honestly fine. Something I would like to see in the future, given enough time to do it, would be a marriage of the stylistic choices you made in the last page of your first round, with the technical skills you've displayed in this comic. I think that could make for something mesmerizing. And, the 4Komas were delightful. Good job everyone.

Lil: wow i love that first panel with the colliseum shot so much! you have such powerful inking. also i loved the way you used venus possessing people and giving them the star on their eye. Drakk: haha what a charming entry. and OMG that ending! I also just enjoyed everyone having a fun time at the beach Fridge: Maomi as a retail worker was not something i realized i needed so badly OMG

Lil: Damn you, you made another good comic. For the past 3-5 minutes I've been sitting here thinking that you and Drakk were like tied and stuff. Both of yours were neat. Drakkel: Damn you, this one is your best of your comics made for this tournament and your previous ones weren't slouches at all. I mean it when I said it to Lil that I was sitting here for a few minutes thinking of how to vote. Fridge: I think this comic was your funniest in the tournament. You had a lot of nice jokes. Just a very goofy enjoyable story.
