SNAGER- That TONE SHIFT was so seamless in this comic I had to go back and realize how I got so invested . The relationship between these two felt very organic. I said it once and I'll say it again: I love Kurdis . Fite me one day >:0. FOOTINI- ABBA VAN! The way you styled Kurdis in this round was awesome. Jaja has such a great sense of humor about these dates too, I could listen for hours. Great work.

Footini- Your writing is not only funny but has fantastic pacing, you really kept me so engaged throughout both of your rounds. I love how you're using Jaja and Tiffany's gossip session to frame this whole tourney. It works really well. I love your art, the expressions and energy pair perfectly with your writing style. Snager- Really not sure what to make of those first pages, personally, it's not my sense of humour, but you can't win them all. I think you had a goal to be outrageous for the sake of a comedy, so mission accomplished! The last little scene was really sweet though.

Snager: Man I think this is my favorite Kurdis comic you've done so far. The worm form joke had me giggling--maybe it's because as a fellow Homestuck it gave me nostalgic feelings (definitely felt like some HS style humor lol), but I liked it. I also liked the transition to 'reality', and the introspective conversation between Kurdis and Jaja felt really sweet and affectionate. It *felt* like a nice conversation between two people who care very much about each other. World cold and hard, tiddy soft and warm. I think my only real crit is that you could perhaps use a little more practice with drawing Black hair, Jaja's dreads at times look a little awkwardly placed/shaped. Footini: Dang, man, I love the colors you used in this. Just looking at the thumbs is v pleasing to the eye, and looking at the actual pages is even better. The mint green could've been overwhelming, but I think it was used sparingly enough that it works! I like how buckwild this whole date is, and I do like how it was kind of a situation of 'just because someone shares a lot of interests with you doesn't mean they're good date material'. Also I really love the setup you did for the next round XD As for crits, the main things are things that have been mentioned before, both in this comic and in other comics; the issue with colors not quite reaching the lines, and the text sizing issue. I first read this on my phone and I kept having to zoom way in just to read some of the text, and then having to zoom back out to see the art. Like Jade mentioned, it's generally a good idea to keep all your dialogue the same font size--if you find yourself having trouble fitting all the dialogue in one bubble, don't be afraid to split it up a bit! You already kind of did this on page 4, but don't be afraid to push it even further if you need to!

thanks, Jade. I think I was choking on my story a little. Footini is too powerful. the original cut still had Worm Form, but Jaja would have thought Kurdis was making fun of her, or not taking her feelings seriously. So i simply changed it to them having worked together during V-cup, so it's not exactly a first date. then, I remembered Jaja said 'give me the mustard' during sex with ghost, so perhaps she DOES like to goof around and make sex jokes. and felt bad writing a dude who keeps fucking up his own love life so I wanted to try something different. but now, seeing how footini wrote it on his side, i have regerts. maybe it would have been more honest to show them not being able to connect, emotionally, after Jaja got rejected by Ghost last round/also rejected Ghost herself simultaneously. BUT i also wanted to draw some nice, clean, sex scenes and flex the full capacity of my training. :P even though I know this isn't enough. it's always better to have a stronk story than stronge art. thanks for reading, guys. hopefully worm-form got everyone talking about this battle (again, I thought footini was going to use the same gag or something like it on his side woops) and you came for the worms and stayed for the nice pin ups and sum dialog. footini, yours was SO FUNNY. I watched you complete it mostly in real time, but i think there should be a record of how hard I laughed at the hippie van with Nyasuu utena painted on the side. you wrote kurdis exactly how he's always been depicted everywhere else, before. I seem to be the only one who didn't get that the taco tongue scene was supposed to be gross-out humor so you have my number. I don't think I thanked you enough, so thanks again for the battle. maybe Jaja will find love, finally.

What a trip! Was not prepared for worm form, but I'm here for it. I got pretty lost in the middle; I'm not sure if the way you told the events out of order helped the plot or not 🤔 Imma say jury's out. I don't think it really hurt it that much, it just left me wanting to skip ahead past all the backstory so I could get to what Jaja asked Kurdis back for. Maybe my brain just wants things to be organized a certain way. Regardless, I found Kurdis having a hard time being serious incredibly relatable, and I like that Jaja just accepts him as he is. Very cute story with nice watercolors and I'm here for all the crazy shit.

"HWIPPED CREAM" I see you. Or I guess "HWAIPD CREM" even better. This whole thing was funny, but I am just DYING at "You can't come back from thirty six inches on a blind man's mouth." I dunno what it was about that particular line, but it just fucking broke me. I'm also "AWWWWH"-ing at Tiffany always trying to find the best in people. I really dug this comic. I think you've mentioned the taco thing coming from a meme or something, but I have no idea what the origin actually is, so for all intents and purposes this is just a 100% original story and not a twist on anything already in existence anywhere haha. I liked your colors a lot. I think Saal setting Kurdis up on dates is just perfectly in character for both of them. I feel Jaja's pain, being stuck for a long period of time with someone who just isn't right for her. The taco meat on the tongue legitimately grossed me out, i want to barf just thinking about it. I also have Abba stuck in my head now. I think the only thing I'd change is there were a couple spots where the text was a little small for my comfort. Maybe that was just a time constraint issue. I personally prefer comics to have a mostly uniform font size, but at the very least just make sure you plan enough space that the text will be easily legible. Not a huge deal, but I wanted to provide you with something to think about haha. Loved it! Can't wait for more, especially after that cliffhanger!!!

Not sure I was ready for a clitoris puppet show, but these were both really well done. Very wild rides. Also loved Saal and Louise power tonguing for dominance

Snager- what? dang that was great. the intro was like a comedically obscene puppet show but it evolved into some real heartwarming pillow talk. the flashback didnt seem crowbarred in and added just enough setting. the emotions really show on the faces, especially jaja in this... i especially like page five overall for the acting and the panel layout. plus your shiny watercolors look great! Footini- The level of the art in this is astounding and vibrant! Kurdis tonguing the meat out of a taco is great, and then seeing the residue on their tongue at the end is even better. I really enjoy the tilted scene at the top of page 3 but there might be a better way to distinguish between the word bubbles from the present and the ones from the flashback. (That's nitpicking though, I read through it properly the first time) Great idea including some hype for round three as well!
