Flutterbyes: Cab: I always admire your ambitious stories that wind up with an ensemble cast beyond the featured duo. I really love how you rendered "this brickhouse!" Your comics are just so dense with information: Here we have multiple running gags, backstory, "meanwhile," lore for multiple weapons, a sequel hook.... Part of me wants to suggest trimming some of the fat and distilling the comic down a little. You do wind up pulling it off, though. Wait, how big is Connor if he's filling up that couch? Durian: I'm really loving some of these facial expressions, in particular the villain's smarmy smile, and those CUTE DOGS. I love how you went all the way for that full, action-packed battle scene that you kept clear and suspenseful even when you coudn't include everything. I get the idea that you realized partway through that you could fit in more per page. I suppose it's better that you went for fewer panels per page rather than more smaller panels, in general, but there were some parts where it slowed down the pacing to have so few, big panels for things like conversation. I hope to see more Bruno in the future! Both: So, uh... how is Bruno's mask staying up? Thanks for the comment! Bruno's mask is worn like a normal surgical mask over the ears! It's just that sometimes the earbands of the mask doesn't show lol XD

Cab- Your comics are always light-hearted and fun, I can see why the Saturday morning cartoon comment comes up so much. I especially feel it when I read Veruca comics, I think its the unlocking magical artefacts angle as well as the spunky female protag and her loveable male sidekick. It's like the lovechild of Kim possible and Xiaolin showdown- aka I would've watched the crap out of this as a kid. Its a lot of fun. I've also gotta commend you for how well you drew Bruno- he looks very at home in your style and the anatomy looks on point. Durian- 27 pages! You came out swinging! This was a fantastic first showing. Your art had some strong expressions and the fight scene flowed very well, also those early grayscale pages were really well balanced and easy on the eyes. Story-wise, whilst this was mostly a big fight scene, I enjoyed the wholesome interaction on page 12. Bruno seems like a truly good, pure character and I can't wait to see what he gets up to in the future, considering how chaotic a lot of the citizens of void are. I do have some further thoughts on writing but they might edge a little too close to crit, so if you ever want to chit chat about stories and characters my inbox is always open!

Cab: I remember seeing this in progress especially when cooking up the BurgerMeister. I'm glad to see Veruca get some more development and how you're painting the Phoenix Coalition thus far, and seeing Bruno in your style is pretty great as well. Keep up your worldbuilding man! Durian: The sheer amount of pages alone for your first battle is impressive, and it's a hell of a way to make a first impression! I love seeing how expressive everyone is, and you have a knack for dynamic action. Hopefully you keep drawing more in the future, and know that you'll always be welcome in Void should you ever decide to take another crack at the whole comic thing.

What a wholesome battle! Reminds me of Saturday morning cartoons growing up! Full-pledged hero meets reluctant young heroine and a wacky sidekick. These three write themselves :D Cab - love the details you put in every comic. Bruno in your style is just [chefkiss]. Astounding amount of work for the time you were given. Wow Durian - Hey! I know you've got some challenges while working on this but you should be proud of what you delivered! Such a strong showing for your first battle and I love that you did not skimp on the fight scenes! Bruno is such a lovable guy and we need more of him in Void.

Damn, you both went absolutely ham on these!!! Cab: I missed the little guy's name (I think Veruca said Birdseed, but I'm not sure if that's a nickname), but I absolutely adore him and how he's portrayed. You draw that little troublemaker so cute! The story was fun to follow, the variety in the character designs and costumes was engaging, and you wrote the characters wonderfully. Excellent work, I really enjoyed! Durian: This was a super ambitious comic, and I'm reading other comments saying that this is your first one?? I love the creature designs, and the bloody violence was a breath of fresh air. The combat was handled very well, and I'm seeing explicit choices for the variety in the panel shapes that really helped the action. I think the only thing holding you back is being new to procreate, and seriously, that's the most relatable thing. Using a new program for your art feels like painting a mural with a toothbrush, and you managed to make something really cool with it!

Cab - Great action scenes, and you drew Bruno’s beefy physique really well! Durian - This was a great first battle! To say you’re inexperienced with an iPad, the actions and expressions are still very clear and lively. I love the design of the monster too!

I'm aware of the flaws and I'd like to not have harsh critics on my comic! I KNOW IT'S TERRIBLE LOL I did my best! I'm struggling with the Ipad LOL It was better with traditional media but I needed effects with Procreate! Don't sweat it! I'm sure we will love what ever you bring to the table. When you submit your comic there will be a spot where you can request what type of critique you want if at all. Void is a place to experiment and progress with your artwork. Nothing will ever be perfect and that's totally alright. I'm looking forward to your comic, I really enjoyed your intro! Good Luck and have fun!
