Haha, no worries Fushigi, I figured she wasn't, but I got a kick outa how the characters where both 'bored'. I mean, what better reason for random violence? I was thrown by the, \"it’s due June 1st thing\" too, it was very frustrating. Good Work=)

Yeah.. sorry about the shittyness of this comic. I have had alot of issues going on in the real world. And to add to the fact that I thought I was running out of time when in all reality, the site was never brought up when it was said it was. (not nagging, just pointing out) Kyra, dear. Fushigi isnt that mean , but I liked how funny the comic was.

actually i thought kyra's was better... Fushigi is a pinup artist, so her figures were pretty, but her backgrounds were nonexistant. Kyra's figures were a litte wonky, but her panel layouts were way beyond fushigi's and she included a setting. Kyra's was easier to read, and therefore more entertaining and creative. fushigi you need to limit the amount of pages you're doing and put more quality into those pages. There were like a thousand face shots and body shots at this same angle... then one worms eye panel thrown in for good measure, but you couldn't really tell it was worm's eye and there was no background. Another thing. If you're looking to get into the manga format you have to understand that almost every page has at least one establishment point. Even shojo.... so less pages more backgrounds and more detail. It would be better to see how you work your panels then to see full color pinups. REALLY work on those backgrounds! Fushigi I don't mean to be harsh at all, but you're talented and I don't want you get stuck in the mold of a pinup artist

The draw quality of fushigi is better than Kyra and Fushigi use the color better too. It's not bad but the profesional level is far.

Ummm... that's not markers, that's watercolor... Anyways, love the traditional mediums Mer, I liked the goofyness as usual. I hope you keep the duck as a sidekick. Kathy... I expect better for the time you hadm parts of this was unfinished and confusing. And was the end splash page necessary? You could a did that in a smaller panel... I really wish you woulda kept the quality consistant... Also... Kyra doesn't have arms.Anyway, it's still pre tty good.

i found the anime approach on Fushigi's pages to be sort of boring. Kyra's pages were funny in a weird sort of way. i liked the randomness of kyra's over the anime esque fushigi story. good battle!

Fushigi's comic did look good, but some places looked like the quality could be a lot better, especially the first panel of page three, where it looks like there was a bit of a motion blur OD. It might just be the lack of color, but there are times when things get a tad confusing. Overall, I'd say that it was a good read. Stilled_life's side was much more consistent, as well as mildly amusing. However, and I'm not sure if it was intentional, but parts look unfinished and sloppy. If I'm wrong, then disregard my last statement. I think my votes pretty much evened out on this match. Good work from both of you.

well, honestly... i'm disappointed. kyra: this was pretty good for your first fight. your marker coloring is pretty good, i know how much a scanner likes to decimate markers. i would've prefered to see a longer battle then one hit on each side. fushigi: you're one of my favorites on this site, your art is getting better all the time. and that is why i'm most upset at you. the artwork was good, your inks are getting much better. you have a good sence of motion, and layout. your tones are fantastic, and the coloring on the last page is epic. i know you were in the SDT, but that still left you a total of about 6 weeks to work on this. i would've liked to see colors, or tones, on the rest of the pages. my votes go to fushigi on this one...

Before anyone gets on about the \"arm\" confusion, just think about it as an uncanny xmen comic. It is probably my fualt that the confusion took place. I am working on some beyond comics before I have any more battles.

Kyra Castello 's story had a certain \"children's book meets Dragonball meets South Park\" feel to it. I loved the uniformity and the Panda bears on the first page...I was hopin for that fight to overflow into you guys fight but oh well...Good stuff.... Fushigi's story looked better in parts...but the changes in style,toning/inking/coloring...etc threw me off a bit and cause me some visual angst. Other then that I loved it....\\ Overall good work gave my better votes to the first story due mainly to keeping a consistant feel to it...

all right, 2 days and I am ready This comic was so much fun to make! Hope it meets standards.
