It's awesome to see you play around with the webscroll format, it's fun to do with a couple types of genres. I already gave some advice on spacing and just doing more of them you will begin to find your own flow for it. one other thing is that instead of the white gutter space filling it with a gradient or maybe full black would help. The white space feels a bit too much where as if it was all black or a gradient it would help bring focus onto the panels. I do also like your colors in this and it's cool to see you do more stuff with this character and hopefully you will battle with them in october.
The Wyrm returns!
I will say that the zoom-in at the first half of the first page started off kinda like an example of shortcut comic sequencing (recreating the same panel but zooming in for dramatic effect), and I wasn't taken until we reached the bottom half with the translucent grub tunneling their way into the bowels of the earth. That bit there was one I enjoyed.
How would I handle the top half? That depends on what I want to establish with the rest of the story. For this, since it seems you wanted to show that the Wyrm has transcended into something smaller and more godly, I would use the real estate of the first page's top half to really take in how large and dead this corpse is. Maybe include the ghosts of the events that preceded their death. It's been a while since we've seen this Wyrm, and including a visual recap of what happened would work two-fold to remind/inform your readers of what happened and to further punch the fact that this didn't entirely kill the creature.
Either way, this grub looks sinister, and I wanna know what happens next!
Gods never diiiie >X0
I'll admit I wanted more. I wanted to see the full realization of what this meant and what this god grub intends, but I suppose that's the point of a cliffhanger ain't it? Still. hmph!
So like this was a pretty good, short, ominous comic. Makes Wyrm feel genuinely menacing and powerful as this undying monster god thing.
I also dig the coloring and layout with the first page.
Man, I had the second page for this done ages ago, and then with Mentor Roulette over it gave me a kind of comic high to finish XD I just wanted to do something quick before October, should anyone wanna fight this guy hehe. Overall it took me about a day? Day and a half?
Btw, this continues from Sunrise’s side of Speed Death Round 1. Thought I’d try lineless style since his comic was!
