Tech: living up to the name this is technically amazing and even if its a bit at your own expense in the jokes the quality did save it a bit for me. Sorry the stuck in your head got to ya. Overthinking sucks and can be the worst quicksand as far as comics. maybe something smaller scale in scope and ambition next time might help pull ideas into a tighter package.
Gottam:As simple as this comic is I couldn't help but stay engaged through the whole thing so well on your for that. Its a simple little adventure and you got the beats and the tension with a little bit of good visual bits and that helped the comic along. Polish could have only helped but improve the experience but polish comes from finding what you want to do early and using the rest to pull forward. I hope to see you again in future trying again and giving yourself another opportunity to succeed.
Tech: Your pencils are amazing and I enjoy a comic that changes and adapts to being an unfinished comic. when it comes to the story you just gotta wing it really, come up with an outline and from there do the pencils, as you do the pencils and inks you change the story to help make it more sense. But you gotta start and commit to an idea, as you draw you will adapt and change the details you are stuck on.
Gottam: Hit me up in discord for some time management tips as I am figuring that stuff out as well. Also change the size you are working at cause it's way too small. make sure the resolution of your files is at least 300 DPI and 1000 PX wide. That being said the ideas you had here where nice and funny.
TECH- Your world building and environment despite your sketchiness never fail to inspire. The building design and the way the alarm clock SFX peels out of it has got to be my favorite bit. Also I need to high five you for that self burn you implemented. Seriously laughed out loud XD
Others pretty much said it all.
I love the style and energy of everything you do, Tech. I'd say try to worry less about the plot and just draw from the hip more, because I know you can get pencils like this done in a matter of hours, and it would be cool to see some fully finished art from you, even if the story is thin. Because ironically, you worried so much about the story, you ended up with thin story anyway, and thin art to boot. #solidaritytho
Gottam, I like how you sort of storyboarded this whole sequence, but I agree I would have preferred fewer pages and higher quality. Good action though.
I should explain, this isn't the original context for these pages, there was totally different dialogue initially, I just changed when it was clear I didn't really have any time left to continue, as a lil gag
tech. i occacionally like the 4thwall break. and i absuloutely love your art. but aside from the chuckle you sparked this was a little too nonsensical. still enjoyable though a litttttle more would have probably pulled it out to be better.
also the sketchy brush is fine but almost unreadable in places. maybe make an effort to use a stronger one if you cant exceed the sketch phase.
gottam. 12 pages is a lot and it read surprisingly well. BUT i wouldnt have minded a smaller page count with bigger focus on clean art but nonetheless congrats on a 12 pagecount.
as for me i´m glad this wasnt cancelled. i enjoyed both sides even if there was definetely potential wasted.
Friendly reminder that if a battle is too much for you to handle you can always cancel it! No shame in that!
Tech - The variety in perspective you use is really good and I guess I appreciate the attempt at self-deprecating humour, but I do wonder why you used your time to do that instead of attempting the actual battle.
G0ttam - While this is technically a complete story, visually it’s so barebones I have no idea what’s going on, so I can’t really comment beyond that, sorry.
