*addition to my previous comment* (insert this after "there have not been many other changes to james") and in one comic he has given james a yearly tradition a brother he felt guilty about killing, who apparently didn't die and anopening to do so much more with the character. Since I came here the thing I like see'ing the most is the character development that has gone on.ie. Mr. Kick having sponser troubles, ty's vendetta, fenix's stuggles with his inner demons etc. See'ing theese character evoloutions have been fantastic and now the big man of void, the mayor James is starting to round out.

Secondly I really like that a precedent has been set that "battles" don't have to just be a fight it can be character development. Which can be better than a simple knock down. It creates the desire to read the back story's and previous battles. It is more interesting to me anyway.

I'm not surprised that he can I have no doubt he can, I am just happy that he has. Cuse other than getting a sword or costume changes there have not been many other changes to james. but this is huge and he pulled it off in an exellent way.

I think its hilarious that everybody is so surprised that Spikes could develop a serious storyline. I mean he wrote, drew and colored this battle in about 5 days. Silly people =P

Wow.  Plot development from Spikes.  I'm impressed.  Good work dude.  I'm definetly interested in what happens to James again.  There were some perspective issues I noticed, but I guess this isn't something that has your full attention, right?  Maybe it's just your style, I dunno.  Overall you sold the mood well, and told the story great.  That's what counts.

Although on the other side of the coin, I'm kinda relieved this isn't a Sydney-boobs-joke comic; I'm glad to see you can remove the jester hat and throw down the GOLD. I'm a fan of your serious work, I loved James vs Estrella to crumbs, and I'm in love all over again. ^_^
