this was cool, Badger. I think the subtext is that the cop lost someone in the Armageddon and he blames magic and super power people for it. maybe Talon could arrange some kind of election among the ghosts to elect a new leader he can speak to as a go-between, so the ghosts can have their concerns raised without all hammering him at once? XD sorry for the fan fic, very inspiring story here.

This is so extremely gorgeous I could explode!!! The time spent in the making is worth it, I can't believe the quality! Talon is such a tragic figure, an unwilling and unappreciated hero just trying to do right by the dead and not having his efforts respected...I wish I could hug him but I would die and also he would hate that. I understand Officer Jason, in a way; hes got a job to do TOO and needs to focus on the LIVING- but I also want to push him in the mud. jerk. The technicolour spirits against the drab real world is such a fantastic interpretation of his necromancy it makes me want to steal it =3 The way you colour is so beautiful it brings me to tears, I want to take lessons from you about it. Overall I'm always happy to see more Talon, even when hes sad. we'll just have to get him back together with his graveyard pals to cheer him up! <3

(hhhhhhhhh trying to get over my paranoia about commenting under other people's comics-)
You did such a good job on this, Badger! Something that I really loved about this was the whole scene with the other police officer. Typically, scenes like that run the very high risk of just feeling cartoonish and out of place, usually by just tossing this dickhead in out of nowhere to say a bunch of shitty things for no in-universe reason just to make the readers feel bad about the main character. The way that you wrote it though really felt real, like the other officer could be somebody that one could encounter in real life. It's obvious that he doesn't care about any of the bodies or spirits and he's just hounding after Talon because he sees it all as a huge waste of time in a city that's already so USED to mass death. Him commenting on Talon being a defender with so much hate and saying that all of the bodies are just gonna be dumped in a mass grave anyways also makes me feel like he's lived in the city for a while, having to witness arma after arma, killer after killer, in this never ending cycle. Instead of trying to make a difference or helping those in need like Talon's doing though, he just simply becomes a PART of it all, complacent to just let it all continue, just as long as he can flex whatever little power he has left on those that he could easily punch down on. In that sense, there's almost this sort of underlying tragedy to it all - this man COULD be more like Talon, he COULD fight against the system that makes him nothing more than a cog in the machine - he's so close to figuring it all out. but he's just so stubborn and used to this cycle that he just doesn't. (Hahaha, not me overanalyzing a background character to the point that I wished that he was an actual character in Void-)
Adding onto all of that, I also really loved how other people being shitty to Talon isn't something that comes out of nowhere either. Even from just this comic alone, it's obvious that he probably has to deal with people like the other officer frequently, having been verbally beaten down enough times that he doesn't find any use in standing up for himself whenever he's remined why he's so othered. The officer is allowed to feel angry and snarky because it's what makes him alive, but Talon isn't allowed to feel those exact same feelings because, when it comes from somebody like him, those emotions are no longer considered human.
UUHHHH SOME OTHER STUFF THAT I LIKED-
I really love how you used shading and lighting all throughout this comic! Especially in page 6, with Talon sitting in the warm yellow light while the officer stands in the cool blue shadows. I also really enjoyed how you drew all of the ghosts in such a wildly different way than the rest of the characters! It really helps to make them feel alien and unknowable, which further highlights how socially separated Talon is compared to the rest of the city. I also loved how each of the ghosts had different colors and markings on them, not only showing how they might've died, but also how each of them were their own unique individual back when they were still alive, making it feel even more important that Talon takes his time with each of them as nobody else would notice all of these little differences between them and just treat them like they're all the same, mass graves and all.
You should totally teach folks how you do your colors sometime! It's easily one of the strongest things about this comic. Can't wait to see what sort of stuff you have planned in the future!

Amazing read!
Not only was the quality prstine but Talon's compassion and humanity is so bittersweet. The sense of helplessness and pressure on his shoulders really shines here
The backgrounds and expressions were so incredibly good. I'm itching to see what happens with him next!

Badger this comic was superb!! The backgrounds are so well done to the point where I found myself pausing and admiring their beauty on certain pages.
Talon, the cop, and the ghosts are so expressive and you skillfully conveyed their feelings through their expressions. Also, the coloring is exceptional and left me in absolute awe.
It was SO worth the wait Badger! I'm extremely excited for your future works!!

This was a neat read, I loved the colourful depiction of the tormented souls! Hated that cop, wish he got some kind of nominal comeuppance.

This comic is beautifully rendered and I really like the emotions that is drawn within the panels that have Talon in it. Clearly his powers have been taking a toll on him and how they are portrayed is quite something to see. Great job on this one and I hope to see some more Talon in the near future!

Talon's actions had some mean consequences, but this is a step towards a new role for him--protector of lost spirits! Maybe having his purpose will help him gain inner peace?
