KUBO- Your comic work is always top-tier, even for these short time frames you pull off a polished competent story. I'm really excited by what you've set up here, one of my favourite things is when folks use a tourney to tell a concise story arc, the results are always really interesting.
Also hurrah for more Voidlands! The canon grows!

Null: It's a bummer that you couldn't post, but defaults happen.
Kubo: Curious to see where this goes and how the two Kubos will deal. Also nice to see more Voidlands!

Can't really think of much else to say that hasn't been said. Impressive about of work and polish for a one weeker, especially one that you were supposedly struggling with. Always a pleasure to see more from you

Kubo - I'm very interested in what you have planned next. The story was very engaging and I liked that you had both versions of the character fighting. Also the fact that you made 10 fully colored pages in a week? How?!
VIII - Sorry things didn't go as well on your end. I hope you're alright!

I think the only critique I can ever give you is that you tend to make some spelling mistakes or funky grammar. Otherwise this was a nice comic and I really like the aesthetics of the villainous Diov Kubo.

It's super unfortunate for the default, I hope things get better for you, VIII.
Kubo - Loved the muted color scheme you used and the action! Interested to see where you're going with the storyline.

Kubo that rocked! The alternate selves fighting, the limited palette, the look and feel of the city...I think my favorite panel was kubo looking up and seeing the people in a web. This was really fun to read

there's almost nothing negative I can say about your work, here, other than personal tastes and opinions.
Evil!Kubo is really rocking what Robot Chicken calls the Reverse Wonderwoman. you said to yourself 'i really want more practice drawing torso skin' and brought that to the potluck for everyone to share. along with some intestine wrapped sausages. (the dead people handing from their own guts is what im talking about here.)
I don't know about that last dish, man, i don't know. Kinda nasty lookin.
After all those meaty entrées, we're left with some finger food morsels to snack on. morsels like:
- who was that at the end? the next player you fight?
- what is negaverse kubo's world like over there ? is seems very surreal.
- is regular kubo had all his powers his whole life, is this really what he'd do with them? or is there more to it than that?
your craftsmanship is stellar, just to parrot what everyone else said.
only fussy bit: some of your up-shots on character's faces are still showing a reluctance to break the character's rigging, as it were, like a concern that the character will become unrecognizable without the constant context of their whole character-sheet-compliant face being visible at all times, like how mickey mouse's ears are perfect circles from every angle. sure enough though, Cedric took his hat off in my first round and suddenly he vanished from the reader's comprehension. but surely there must be a more appealing way to show a character's face from below without breaking the rig: it looks ok on page 6, maybe regular!kubo's forehead needs more foreshortening is all. but then evil!kubo's face on page 7 is looking a lil chunky and orkish compared to his other scenes. and yet, it is not at all better than I could do in ONE WEEK. I know I DM you about it all the time, but i really wish I could absorb all your time saving abilities for these contests :pensive emoji:
also: Helium Star's place in the comic seems a little like anyone who plays an instrument or has shield or knock-back powers could have taken that role, though I have to admit I didn't research or DM VIl| to see what Helium's deal was and I'm sure I would have done the same kind of thing.
@_@; i just can't figure out how you do it, bro. We all fear and love you.
