Oh my god these were both so goood!!!! When I read Footini's I thought there's no way to top the jokes, and Animeshen fucking killed it! Both were so funny and clever, and I'm amazed as always with the writing on Void. I thought this comment was going to be exclusive to one comic, but you both opened with knockout lines that started this thing off so strong!
Foot: Your panelling in this one is psychedelic. You're showing so much flexibility and fluency with the medium here. The third page feels very lost in thought and drifty, which was absolutely nailed by the panelling. The way the smoke billows up and guides the page around, it makes it harder to follow, so I spent more time on that page and realized that this was an intentional decision. Something about a lighter in front of smoke with dialogue going reminds me so much of old N.R. Crumb comics, and this whole exchange on the third page felt straight out of Fritz the Cat. What I enjoy about this page is that this isn't the style of the whole comic, it's like a little surprise. They're in afterglow, not thinking perfectly, spent, tired, pensive, and relaxed. The dialogue could have been read as really harsh, or overly nasty if it wasn't for this composition. In this context it reads super chill and a little playfully sarcastic. I also love that Jaja goes back for more after the sting subsides. Reality isn't a story about what you're supposed to do, its a story about what you end up doing, and I love seeing this flawed, rough side of adult life from her. Really impressed with your subtlety here.
Shen: What a first line, holy shit XD The way they joke with each other is so natural and casual, I have no idea how you're able to channel life into your dialogues like that. Like when you used the word exsanguinated on page 3, I was thinking about how I would react if someone said that to me, and then Jaja referenced it in the next panel. That kind of knowledge of what's going to capture your audience's attention is really impressive to me. It was also really funny that you and Footini took completely opposite realistic approaches to the ending of the story. Neither one is a fairytale ending, their choices felt very grounded in reality.
Excellent job both of you! I'm always blown away by the writing on Void, and these are stellar examples of that!

that was really good, you guys.
footini, this gives me much better ideas for how to write our speed date eyes emoji
Ghost, I knew you were a tease, but now I know-know it.
nice quiet ending though, were Jaja saves herself from getting fucked to death probably though. and Ghost isn't even that broken up over it.

Shen: Oh hELLO this is one hot comic lol. It's really impressive how sexy this is while containing zero explicit smut. Your spot blacks are always TASTY AF and I love the reveal of Ghost actually having no real qualms against werewolves...... and the reveal that he has in fact given a werewolf death by snu-snu lol. Also the punchline at the end was EXCELLENT.
