Jcee, your quality is such a treat to look at! really interesting setup and crazy rollout of events. one can really feel the pressure on Swan and the impeding trauma when the kids witnessed her rage. my only critique would be that i cant really relate to her giving in to the brutality in the end. there was a certain element of real threat missing to me. Looking forward to her next stop. such a complex character arc
cab, hands down you are probably one of the best storyteller on the site- platinum nailed it on how you weave your several characters and the backstories of your opponents into your comics. This entry had very interesting visuals with the flashbacks and such.
very enjoyable read on both sides!

Wait, Mordrake did that to Shaw? Oh gosh he just kidnapped MY BIRD!!!!
Cab: I just am in love with the Cabverse that you have going and how the characters flow in and out of stories along with the interaction between Shaw and Black Swan. The conversation reads off as quite genuine and I can picture it clearly in my mind which is a plus!
Jcee: Damn you wen HAM!!! I was quite surprise at how deep and dark you were willing to go (although I think it would be expected cause of Black Swan's stories) but I really like the style and the character development that happened here.
You both did great and take a bow you two, Both of you deserve it!

great work, you two! I'm so charmed that Shaw was able to bring out some new revelations about black swan. And also, how Cab fought the instinct to kick off the year of smut battles but still gave us a hint of what it might look like if he HAD.
I was startled and shocked and screaming with surprise to see Kurdis (it's HIM?) in JCEE's side. Like, yes, smush his face: it's so impossible for even myself to feel confident in to draw, everyone just cover his face up for now on. it's all about them legs, anyway, we all know it. gosh, that's going on the fridge.

I was definitely looking forward to this battle, given the caliber of both of these artists. And both of you did great work!
JCee: Your inks and tones are looking great as usual, and I'm glad to see that more and more of Swan's story is coming into the light. Swan is clearly still struggling with how to balance the good and bad she's been dealt and I really want to see where this ends up next. You also did a bang up job drawing Shaw and I'm glad you had fun with him. Overall, I'm looking forward to seeing where Swan's journey will take her!
Cab: Your page output and pace always impress no matter the challenge. This encounter went a lot more lighthearted than I expected and I always appreciate your sense of humor here. Can't wait to see where Shaw will go after this.

JCee- excellent opening, you tell the reader everything they need to know about swan in a very succinct way. In panel six of p3 i read all of shaw's lines first before swan's but it's supposed to be a back-and-forth-- i think you need to jam swan's first bubble up in between there to show better that she speaks in the middle, or to make shaw's response a separate bubble. ..But that's a nitpick, this is all pretty pro stuff in terms of pacing and framing. Swan being shocked at herself and looking scary was great too.
and the ending to show that diego is still alive was a great send off since swan said he 'might be dead' earlier. This is a solid comic!
Cab- I like the gag at the end with the lewd language but I wish we could have seen some more fighting. The tone shift on p4 when Shaw starts yelling seemed pretty sudden--but the rest of the dialogue sounds pretty natural. I think the flashback page could have been better as two separate pages, to not have horizontal scrollin but mostly because I wasn't entirely sure which way my eyes should go on that page. I liked this, very solid set up and ending-- keep up the good work!

Finished and Uploaded!
Thanks for the opportunity to fight Shaw, Cab! I had a lot of fun drawing him and hope I did him a little justice. I've been super rusty and struggled a lot in areas, pretty much have become unfit story/artwise. So if anything looks off, I apologize. Definitely been a learning curve for me, but am happy to have this done. Hope you all enjoy!
