I procrastinated a bit too much so no full color, but I hope the action and character makes up for it. I really loved writing JOAN and giving them some characterization.

Q: would you read a whole webcomic formatted in videogame shorthands like these fights?

Electric: The first page and a half are paced and laid out perfectly. After you have some time improving your figure and anatomy and rendering skills, if you were to go back to redraw these it would be very powerful. One can tell you have the eye for this stuff, once your hands and experience with the software catches up you can be more than formidable.

Fred: Chiming in to what Gregly said, I had to read the comic twice since those white borders didn't actually reflect where the stops should have been (I originally kept reading the panels as the dialogue being on the top than the bottom, then wondered why the "pictureless" panels showing health bars were left alone at the bottom of the pages). Something to fix for readability for next time!

Fred: Gorgeous bgs. Animation on the worm looks like a few parts have been manipulated or cut around and moved, where some more unique redrawing would have been cool to see. I am sure time was a factor though.

Shading around Vorania's waist is a little dark and gives and odd impression. I love how unique these continue to be.

Electric: Joan appears a bit different after leaving the bar. At points the face and hair lost some consistency of design. Conceptually, super cool interpretation.

Electric - I love this characterisation of Joan! Fighting as an addiction and/or the delusion of thinking you’re a character in a fighting game is a really interesting concept. Sick final panel too.

Fred - The tapeworm holy shit?? I’m confused as to how killing the tapeworm killed Vorania, but the ending shot was wonderfully gruesome.

electric- i like the video gamey effects, and the c-c-combo punch looks great! on word bubbles, it seems like joan is thinking to themselves on panel 2 because there's no tail from the bubbles, but vorania responds as though it was out loud.. just a little confusing but this is a good showing!

fred- it's awesome that you could animate all this in just a few days! when i first started reading i was a little confused about which text box went with which panel, because they're separated by a white line and there's no white line between the panels-- so my brain wants to read the blocks between the white lines together, for example on the first page putting joan's first line with vorania's first appearance. Joan climbing out of vorania's mouth is grizzly, i love it!

To Electric; while the overall quality this time is not as vivid as your previous piece, you still show good pacing in your comics. I believe this is your strongest strength so far. I can't really criticize more then that because you already explained your issue on your entry.

To Fred; simply said, the pixel art is pretty. Very nice. :)

However, my biggest issue was that the repetitious gifs (and the comic as a whole) was a bit difficult to read. It honestly feels like the gifs should be longer to really enjoy. Whether it's intentional or not to keep them short, this should be something to consider.

that was an interesting take fred. I will say that technically stuff she eats is just supposed to sorta dissapear like a black hole but this was really fun to read and had some really great art in it!

I'm really happy I got to fight Joan, they were one of the characters I was most excited to go against and I'm lucky to have gotten that chance.

I hope you enjoy how I characterized JOAN, I wanted to give them some depth to the fighting game association.
