Very unique world-building! Never seen a culture/costumes look quite like this. Especially like the first Nameless mask. Feels like a real world with secret unspoken rules. Love the use of color!

Thank you all for the kind comments. We'd like to talk a bit about it!

This is a webcomic we tried to make... wow, 4 years ago, but failed for various personal reasons. We're doing much better this around >:3
So yes, there is more coming up. Still debating if we'll post the following updates here.
The goal of the style, the 'stained glass' as it seems it has unanimously been dubbed, is actually speed. A lot of you might have noticed how our Void matches have been short, simple, and vertical. The reason is the same: to let us create within the small windows of opportunity depression leaves us. This one just does it differently. The stained glass thing is an easy way to add the impression of detail while keeping everything pretty  simple underneath. All the criticism on the visual aspects are taken with appreciation and joy! We're taking them into account for the next batch of pages, thank you very much for the suggestions!
There are diegetic reasons for the speech patterns, we'll be exploring those later! There are also non-diegetic reasons, like the near complete erasure of the concept of pronouns.
The stopping point is where it is because that is where we had stopped thumbing it four years ago! We wanted to at least complete that much, for past Fred.
The positive feedback received here is very encouraging! It gives us strength to keep pushing forward. So once more, we thank you for your comments, criticism, and interest. <3

Oughhh loved this! I know others have said it but I really love how you evoke stained glass windows with the geometric shapes and environment broken into different shapes. The use of third person during conversation is also super interesting and almost whimsical? Idk, it gives the whole work a mythological/oldy worldy vibe. Claire’s design in disguise is great - for one I just love masked designs and chunky gloves, but their shape and colour makes them clearly distinguishable in every panel they’re in. I agree with the others about the random thick lines, and I also found this ended at a really abrupt point. But on the other hand, it really makes me want to read more, so... success? XD

I really like the way you're handling far away objects by making them more scribbly. You've created a really cool visual language here that reads instantly, and I love that you give it lots of space to shine. I think the dialogue could have used a little work, but I like the slow pacing and long silent pages. It made me feel really relaxed when I was reading it, and I could appreciate the craftsmanship without speech bubbles blocking it. Great job!

Oooh, I really like the stained glass style you used here.
The conversation with the seller was neat. Love their speech patterns.
Very intriguing world you got here

I found this comic very immersive and engaging, you really transported me to this world, I'm already hungry for more!

I already gushed about these pages in Discord so I'll  gush over it again. The art is so good and I love that you did the show don't tell style of storytelling.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors and stained glass look. I do agree with Pyras on the thicker lines looking a bit out of place. If they are there to signify depth or highlight the foreground/emphasis I would try a couple of things:

1. Desaturate the far away stuff
2. Use cooler hues for the background elements

Try either of the above . See how you like it :)

Keep up the great work!

Fantastic colors here! I think the dialogue was also really good, things like the grammar syntax and interesting currencies really give your world a lot of depth quickly and efficiently. The twist at the end was cute and it's definitely piqued my interest.

me gusta!

The artwork feels like it's *almost* perfectly solid, what you're doing with colors and line composition are perfect, but there's many moments with the thick lines that feel like they want to be as smooth and clean-looking as the colors and thin lines. Some of the thick lines not sharing this makes them stand out looking like mistakes. I think if you did an issue where all the thick lines matched everything else in smoothness and cleanliness the work would look even better.

The colors in this, my god. I absolutely adore the visuals. And I love the worldbuilding and the ending. Really, just loved it all around. I would like to see more!
