Oh, what a nice surprise! I wasn't expecting to see this gal again. I like how you're using Meredith to unearth these stories- very meta, I dig it. This was a fun lil comic, I enjoy low-key scenes that focus on characters relationships with one another.
Though will admit though I found Lulu a little bland, especially in comparison to all the zany, outspoken, male sidekicks around her. Her cutesy persona feels like a miss-step. It certainly isn't what I'd expect from a 34-year-old, Wingwalker who's been cooped up at home.
I still really like this concept and I hope you do more with it!

It was a cute idea to make a story featuring the rejected toons. Since it’s older I won’t comment on the art, but I do have some thoughts on the writing.
The big thing with this comic is that I don’t care about the main character (or any of the characters really). She doesn’t have a chance to shine in the beginning, and then the story is cut off before we can watch her journey. It’s like this awkward limbo phase within a much larger story that was taken out, and presented to us as a complete short story. In such few pages, instead of establishing her character, you waste time on backstories for secondary characters like the parents and the piece of paper. Her goal is also talked about rather than shown, which just makes it feel less important. I think the story could have been punched up a lot simply showing her practicing wingwalking, looking determined, maybe Sigfred cheers her on. Don’t include a handful of different backstories, just focus on her - her mum can bring up the dad’s hypocrisy without going into all the details. Or maybe jump ahead till the end of the journey, showing her practicing throughout the ages and then finally here, as a famous adult. Or commit to a longer story rather than stopping just as it gets going.

For those wondering Ray Bolger was the late actor who played the Scarecrow in the Classic MGM- Wizard of Oz film.

The One Line Meredith is pretty impressive since you still managed to do all of those little details without lifting up the pen even once. I enjoyed this story and it is a nice tale that you were able to finally share. Maybe in another timeline you would've had a toon in your arsenal along with the others. But I am happy to see this story come to light, Here is to hoping for more Meredith Tales!!!
