I would like to  thank everyone for the comments/votes! I really appreciate it more than I can ever express. I am actually like Flytee, the space/futuristic theme is rarely (if at all) a go to genre for me to draw or read (unless you add horror elements  to it which I love) . Thanks to Pyras for introducing me to the idea or else I would've never found out how fun it is to paint space. It literally is just a blank canvas and I just let my creativity run wild. They're some of my favorite panels to paint in this particular comic and I am glad it showed.

Again many thanks to all of you and also Pyras for yet another fun collab. I am definitely looking forward to exploring Sable's story further in Void either through battles or collabs. So stay tuned.

My only regret is that we don't get to kill her in the tourney.  ah well.

It's cool to finally see one of two of the first co-owned characters i can remember being made outside of a deathmatch.
And as usual the art and writing here is top notch.

It is stellar to not only see more collabs happening on the site lately, but when you get that sweet spot where two artists just vibe- that's magic. Who knows if this is that magical combination or Rivana is just that secret sauce, but you two make a winning combination. I got a chance to see some of these pages back in their WIP iteration, so I actually gasped when I got to see the spacey backdrop added to the window of the spaceship. Utterly breathtaking. If that space looked like this all the time I'd love to be out there 24/7.
This comic and the character design sheet feels like another level of intro that goes leagues beyond what's required. You almost don't need to battle Sable. Everything you could ever want to know is right here.

As for Sable herself- I'm curious as to how she lucked out being able to eat food if her Father consumes memories and her mother blood. Both of them are parasitically dependent on people to some degree. Is there some regular ol' human DNA that was a fantastic luck of the draw? And while I like the tie in to Lovechild because-obviously- I'm wondering how self fulfilling this intro will be considering the lovekids will kill each other well before she ever gets an opportunity to. Barring the victor, she's already out of a job.

I think others echoed interest in how Sable handles isolation and  whether the obligatory loneliness has done a number on her. THAT'S the story I'd personally like to see. In any case, I know you two have laid down the gauntlet. I look forward to seeing who picks it up.

Sable more like babe-le am I right?

You guys have such an amazing combination of art styles that complement each other in ways I honestly wouldn't have expected based on how your individual styles are so distinct and unique. The colors and rendering in this were gorgeous af, especially how you colored the vastness of space. I would want to live in space if it looked that beautiful.

Sable is a mood in ways that make me feel a bit self-conscious, because boy do I feel like an isolated loner a lot of the time. I hope she has friends on Discord or something. The fact that she literally can't make close irl friends with organic life forms is so sad, but it seems like she's used to it. It would be interesting to see the potential psychological drawbacks of that, even if on the surface it seems she's fine with it.

The art on this is pretty much perfect imo, but if there's one thing you could improve, I think it would be to use more wide shots. It seems like part of this intro story's purpose was to indicate how alone Sable is, but everything is relatively zoomed in on her, making it feel more intimate than isolating. I think the intimate feeling works really well when we're seeing her morning routine, because we're sort of experiencing it as she does, but more wide shots, maybe a panel where her space ship is a tiny speck in a vast empty space, would have upped the isolation factor.

Then again, maybe that wasn't your goal and you accomplished just what you wanted here haha. Regardless, the art was beautiful, and the writing really made me excited to see what Sable does next!!!

Gorgeous art, I said this on your last collab, but your styles meld together in such a pleasing way. Great job.
I'm not usually a sci-fi person, my brain turns off when I see minimalistic space ships and techy, futuristic scenes- but despite that, I found this character & setting is really appealing and interesting. I think the choice of colours & how mystical you managed to make space look, helped- it was also nice & humanising seeing Sables morning routine.

Not really a crit, but I think at some point it would've been cool to see a larger, zoomed out panel of Sable's ship, something to emphasize how alone she is as she drifts through space.

Wow this is great! Really gripping while settling us into the character's routine. And what a family history!

This is quite the intro indeed, so much mystery yet just enough to get someone hooked for the second story. Backgrounds and linework are suburb but I'm sure you don't need me to tell ya that. can't wait to see what you two do with Sable, and hopefully you guys will be able to find a willing opponent sometime in the near future.

Absolutely love this intro. I’ve said before you two work together well, but I think something about this setting kind of elevated that further. The palette was gorgeous, and paired with the layouts gave some pretty striking visuals. I think the first page was my favourite, the colours were so vibrant but still gave a cold feel, which definitely made Sable feel isolated. And I dig the double iris eye. The monologue flowed well with the panels, but did come off a little too vague to give us a good sense of who this character is had we not read the bio first. Really curious what her deal is wrt Lovechild Tourney and lowkey mad she’s not in it XD
