I know I've just about said everything I can say about this comic to you in person, while you were making it, but one thing I realized I forgot to mention was just how much I love the third and fourth panels; something about the lines and the colors really just... honestly feels like something straight out of an animated short. And that last panel is so delightfully spooky :D

Congrats on getting this done Cy. Text is easy to read and flowed well. The art is great! I couldn't stop staring at that car. Gold's glowing eyes in the last panel while the moon acted like a halo around Gold's head is a very powerful image. Only complaint is that it is too short :P

Well done.

DAMN that was a strong one pager. It gives so much character insight. I was totally struck by the intensity of the last panel!
You did great whit this.

I would like to see some more development on your backgrounds though. Its good, so not really a critique but i see a lot of unused potential in the first panels that lack of atmosphere compared to the well layed out night scenes. Looking forward to your development on that.

Nice, clean coloring and drawing. Gold has an interesting personality shown here. The last panel was my favorite because I liked how you did the moonlight, it was very effective in capturing the mood.

Nice work!

Nice rendering and characterization! It's a little too brief to impact as hard as it could, but what's there is solid. You can extend the pacing of this comic without drawing any more by simply extending the scroll and the space between images and between word balloons, giving us more time to immerse in the comic before its over. This is the biggest advantage of long scroll comics, to be able to control the pacing in this way. The farther apart and large panels you use, the slower you set the pacing, and visa versa. Try to use this to your advantage for the next comic!

This is a great little vignette. Gold is a lot more mentally messed up than i thought and I love it. I also really love the car, you did a fantastic job shading it, also the general color palette for this is really good. Sorry you had to go through such emotional term oil but it's great you're moving forward and still making stuff.

Great work! My interest in Gold has grown EVEN MORE. He's a little messed up and I love it.
There are some great panels here. I like the hand close-ups, the parallel between Gold anxiously tapping on the table and him calmly holding his latest boon, was great.
I also love that last pannel, it has such a surreal, creepy vibe.

The fact that this comic gave us a closeup of his long, clawlike nails made it worth it. That made me jump a little. In just a few panels, it slipped from a very everyday, normal feel, into an eerie vignette of someone's sliding into the dark side, a window on an unhealthy habit that's such a prominent part of his profile. Gold is high on his power with visions of godhood, but he is on some level aware that this impulse comes from something negative that rules him. It's only one page, but it's a good contained moment with a purpose.

After completing the recent 24hr battle I thought I’d challenge myself to complete one page in 3 days, as a kind of motivation to start on my longer BBs. The 3 days quickly became a week, which became two weeks, so I just wanted to be done with it and upload it as is. I kind of hate this comic now and am very aware of the myriad of flaws in it, so I don’t really want to be reminded of them. Thanks to everyone who put up with my screaming in the discord, lol, I’ve really been in a shitty state recently.

On a more positive note, people were asking about the reasoning behind Gold’s theft, so here ya go. A little explanation as to why he steals useless shit as well as actual valuables ;) Also, if anyone’s wondering why he has claws and golden eyes in this comic, I imagine he goes a little into cat mode when he goes out at night and plans to be Sneaky (TM).
