@Gregly: Every time I've thought of this comic in this past week, I've absolutely had to say to myself out loud, "man it's SO GOOD." Because it really is! It is SO GOOD! The gags are phenomenal, and I love the characterization!! It's super accurate! It's kind of funny how we both addressed in some way how long Invyn's circles take to make. Well, I mean, that was my intention in my comic. That's probably not entirely clear. I feel like I might've taken a bit too many compromises with Gwen and Regi's personalities, with making them so aggressive towards my guys, but I really came into this wanting an action-orientated comic, and that was an easy way of doing it!

@Fred: Fair enough! That stuff is kind of what I've been trying to exercise doing these comics though, so hopefully they'll just get steadily better through practice. The EnterVOIDsPrisons joke is actually like, the main reason I did this comic, actually? Because I was really infatuated with it as a gag like two months ago. You're lucky I only relegated it to a single panel, and didn't take up all page with it.

@Radji: y-yeah, th-thank you for the... the compliment. that's h-how that is to be taken. y-yes, my art is a lot like the w-works of seth mcfarlane, a-a-absolutely...

@Shen: I don't have much experience in drawing action-y poses in general, so this comic was basically meant to be practice for it, which probably explains why they look so stiff. Still, I thought there were quite a couple poses I did that were pretty stand-out: pg 1 panel 1, and pg 10 panel 6 to name two. But yeah, definitely still some room to improve overall, I'm aware! The background being just lines was an artifact of the "Do as little as possible and still make it look okay" coloring I was doing to fit in the 1-week time limit, although I'll admit I got a bit lazy with the lining and sketching, especially in the evidence room. It's basically just "Empty room with tables." I dunno if Gregly would be down with anything to follow up on my ending, but this comic definitely has persuaded me to develop some kind of an apprenticeship complex for Invyn!

@Kozi: I definitely have to admit, that page in particular did feel like it was coming out worse than the rest did, even as I was inking it. But, to be fair, I wasn't *trying* to give the blast too much weight; that single crack was about as far as I wanted to go. It was only a HALTING blast, after all, not a murdering one. And I was already having way too much trouble with the poses on the page even not taking the blast into consideration. Still, I feel like the rest of the comic stands up okay, action and not! About the typos... What are you seeing? I took a close look at the script and could only find that I misspelt "bailiff." Everything else looks precisely in order as I intended. You didn't mistake "crims" for a typo, did you? That's real sus. And man, I am absolutely not a fan of the coloring at all. As I said above, this was just a way to maximize efficiency while still presenting something with the bare minimum of solidity to it for a one week battle. The way I've been coloring and shading withmore detail and fidelity so far is much, MUCH more in line with how I want to render comics. So you probably aren't going to see it often, sorry!

REECER: I'll definitely echo the comments below on your stiffness. You have this great page of pursuit when Invyn and Jasper are making a break for it, followed by an exploding blast from Gwen and Regi, but upon second and third read its just so...mundane. Their bodies show no indication the blast is affecting them or shook them off their feet, there's no debris in the aftermath save a neat little crack in the wall and their poses and expressions are so static this whole scene, which I know should  have my heart racing put it to sleep. Also, your typos and mispellings kept throwing me off of their dialogue and made some really nice comedic moments hiccup.
I do liek your minimal color scheme and certainly hope you expand on this look to make it your own.

GREGLY: You surprised me with this battle, and in different ways to boot! Like, the way you colored this comic ran the razors edge of me hating it and loving it. It sidles so close to looking sloppy and unfinished while also looking intentionally flawless- like this was a loose wash o color. Almost as if I'm turning the pages of a children's storybook. It definitely gave me that vibe for sure. I'm glad I'm not the only one conflicted about your execution if the comments below have anything to say about it.
Also, holy moly, this was like, funny. Granted you usually have humor in your comics, but it tends to be this wholesome, Saturday morning cartoon, make ya smile business. This was actually a relatively sassy jab at your opponents characters that was really funny! Its clear you've done your homework and read your opponents past battles, picking up on the fact Invyn takes fooorever to cast a spell and explain it besides. Seeing you just go tongue in check with it had me cackling. This is definitely how longwinded prep work should be depicted. Also the ending with these two working in a grocery store just had me rolling. You took me somewhere unexpected with this battle and for that I definitely lean more towards this one in the votes. Keep it up, man!

these were both really funny, im glad you guys battled this was a good match, cops and robbers with magic!

Reecer: The writing is funny but the art feels a little flat and stiff so i would work on some action poses to convey movement better, and filling the backgrounds a bit more so its not straight lines on empty walls. I love the idea of Invyn teaching Gwen magic, I hope that comes up again lol
Gregly: I love how you draw jasper and Invyn! Im diggin the traditionals lately but this one felt a bit rushed with some colour choices that maybe should have been reconsidered. The pacing of your comedy is so on point i just love reading your comics!

Reecer: i have the same critics to say about you art as Fred, but i would also say that your comic does give me that kind of feeling i get when watching a good episode of Family guy, i dig ^^

Gregly: your colors hurt my eyes a little but that was a clever and funny story like always, and i'm glad to see my favorite police duo more ^^
And that cameo was rad too ^^

Reecer; I don't think it's too forward of me to say you need some work on your art. Your body construction is lacking, as well as your environment, which is just some lines, if that. Could use some work on lines, too. Despite that, I did enjoy the comic. It was funny enough and it flowed rather well. I do think you pushed some jokes a bit too much and they lost some of their charm and taste, like the bit with the entervoid prison, it's cute and clever, but you lampshade it too much and you keep adding to it in that panels, it's a bit much for me. But yeah, I dig it.

Gregly; I'm looking at those colours and I'm very conflicted. On one hand, they're unfinished and not very good, but on the other, I fucking love them. Despite being incomplete, they match the mood and style and are just so whimsical. I always like your comics. I like your style and your gentle humour.

Submitted! Probably put more work into this on average per day than any of my previous comics, actually. Definitely hope to get some good critiques on this!

Looking forward to your comic, Gregly!

Reecer6: I hope you are all waiting eagerly in anticipation, because this may very well be the absolute FIRST Void battle featuring not just one... but TWO brooms.
