Wonderful work I want your skills U__U

Roflqu covered pretty much all i had to say with this comic. Concerning the future, I know that this took you a bit of time to get through, you want to think about how you can balance your incredible quality with high level time management so that you're able to produce comics within the deadlines on this site. Think about how you can make short 3-5 page stories first before you're limber enough to tackle larger projects. And this will all be pretty rough at first, but trust me when I say the more time you spend drawing in a time crunch the faster and better you will naturally become altogether, the deadline practice does nothing but good for your work

Can't wait to see your next comic! Maybe snag one of the open challenges lying in wait? Or set up an open challenge of your own

Terrific work as to be expected. Time has been only kinder to your abilities and I'm pleased we have a return of some villainous characters back to the city. I always really enjoyed the characters, so I'm glad to see our characters return with a new and fantastic look thanks to your positive artistic development.

I'm of two minds regarding your speech bubbles. On one hand, the sketchiness really helps emphasize Frank's "broken" nature and is a satisfying appearance, however your font choice leaves something to be desired. Meanwhile, going to the wayside is your handwriting abilities. The creak of the chair in the first page betrays your very handsome and lovely penmanship. If given 'all' the time in the world for your Beyond Battle, maybe handwrite. You've got a great set there. However, that's not practical in all applications, so in the meantime, work on developing your font choices for future use.

One of the weaker things in the comic is the lack of backgrounds. I really do like what little glimpses you've given us, but I really wish we had more to see. Specifically, I'm curious about their environment. On one hand, I was wondering why it wasn't more grimy, but then I thought Frank may keep a clean ship due to his own decay. If only you could showcase that more in future comics, because I really wanted more demonstrated in this comic.

Your human posing and figures are very strong looking and I'm a fan of your expressions and control of the body. You're very much in your element with these horror-tinged comics and I can't wait to see what you produce for us in your hopefully coming battles.

Hopefully, you don't make us wait another 5 years for the next comic from you. This was a a very satisfying returning comic and I'm really interested to see what you do with these two again. Terrific work.

Thank you, Corn of the Breads! I'd love to get some critique on this comic, be it regarding the technique or the story, or anything in between. Im wishing I'd rwas some old comments on previous submissions so I could have been more aware of what to work on. I definitely would have picked a more involved story to show more about their pursuits and motivation. I'll definitely be devoting future battles to expressing that.

And and all feedback is highly welcome!

I think this comic more so then their introduction story gives both of your characters far more agency in the world I feel now  that they are both a part of a larger world with wants and direction, especially Frank being more commanding and expressive then when last I saw him giving a sense of sexual depravity but also an air of professionalism with his craft. Also the art is amazing.

Thanks, guys!!!
I really wanted to focus on composition and creating a stable style that works for them. You can tell I was experimenting with the first page (not including the cover), and finally felt comfortable by the third page, where I think the depth was best executed. The story isn't particularly involved because I wanted to show a kind of "day in the life" while working on these skills. Sometimes I could turn off the lines layer and the shading underneath would almost be able to stand on its own. That was pretty cool to see!

I think what I honestly struggled with the most was my own confidence, and fooling around with things, such as the fonts. I thought inserting the dialogue would be the easiest part, and while it was after I figured out what I liked, I forgot I have characters whose attributes are unique even to their damn voices! I needed to convey Frank's synthetic voice, and Emmelia's much smaller voice, often conveyed by noises. All-in-all, and despite the timing lag, I'm very happy with what I got done!

Sidenote: I got hung up on page 4 with that damn hose scene. When I originally painted the water, I swear to god it looked like milk, and I was dreading all the horrendous comments and ridicule. While I'm still not 100% with how the water looks, I'm confident it's at least convincing.

Gettin' it done, son! Tbh, I should have called this comic "A day in the unlife" or something stupidly clever, but The Return is much more dramatic. This is more an opportunity to show I can do this again, and get more comfortable in a style for these two, while I'm hashing out my next Void character. I hope I don't disappoint!
