This scar match was intense, Wolcick being a veteran on Entervoid i knew that my opponent would be much more experienced. This is also the darkest comic i have drawn to date, and in retrospective i should have worked a little bit more on the backstory of the fight, 'cause wolcick's right, it kinda looks like Kurt beat the shit out of somebody for no reasons... as usual^^
So yeah, great experience for me, and thanks everyone for your much usefuls comments.
Wolcick, i LOVE the way you draw Kurt and Polterdot, SO BADASS !!!

Radji - I don't mind overpowerdness, but I agree with the others that it would be more interesting to at least show Wolcik attack.  Maybe you could have used a flashback when he talked about the psychic powers.  Still, it was a solid, well-paced read.  I'm also a fan of your scar.  Savage!

Wolcik - Some great action an art scenes, but some parts were confusing.  The girl ghost looked like she was shot with something rather than shooting something (maybe you could have shaded the background that panel).  The end especially was very abrupt.  I don't know what your guy did (fusion?), even so why'd he choose to do that? what happened afterward?

Radji: St Shen: Your review IS very interesting because, yes, indeed, Kurt's emotional profile is not really developed and he seems untouchable.
Keep in mind that bloody rapist is a street rapist that has only attacked ordinary people , while Kurt is a killer robot who has guarded an entire dimension full of demons and chaos cultist for a Millenia He is far more experienced and battle-hardened. And I also described Kurt as a loner who doesn't really care about anything, only time and new meetings will change him and that's what will happens next time we see him. ^^

Radji - There is nothing that says this things in your comics. I know that everybody and their mom reads Bios before reading battles, but your comics shows the guy simply beating a cripple for no apparent reason. This is why I showed the victim at the begining of my comics.
Also you assume that a superpowered rapist would only attack normal people - I especially mentioned victim's superpower since this is Jimmy's first battle.
The missing text was suppose to say that the reason why Jimmy was inactive for so long is because nobody wanted to challange him, as he overpowered the police when cofronted him. Of course, since your battle will win this is no longer the case  - or at least not to the full extent.

Almost 4  of your pages are almost if not completly all text - this is over 30% of the comics, and as in splash pages such attempts should be the climax and not the norm. black fills in better than grays as you have shown - it also felt the mood.
I did not put any backgrounds, but I think that

I am aware that the fight was post due a lot, and I might have tried to update text and animation after the deadline, but since as far as I know the rules dont allow fun I did not do that.

Quoting in comment section looks awful :(

speaking as a guy with notoriously OP characters there is an alternative; you don't have to even the fight to raise the stakes, there are other ways to do that.

In this case, imagine if Bloody Rapist had a hostage, and used that against Kurt. The focus then changes from "will Kurt survive this?" to "will Kurt be able to save the hostage?". The villain doesn't have to be as strong or stronger than the hero in terms of power to still be a threat.

If Kurt was able to save said hostage then that would add to the cathartic satisfaction of beating his ass afterwards. If he is unable to, there's still satisfaction in the assbeating but now Kurt has to wrestle with that guilt.

To clarify: I didn't have a problem with Kurt overpowering Bloody Rapist, there's a clear sense of catharsis in this comic that I think is being overlooked, but some real stakes would have made it more exciting for everyone

Radji, I think what Shen means is that, in a lot of your Kurt comics, the fights are pretty one-sided. Which, true, he's a killer robot who has fought for millenia!

But your fightscenes lose a lot of tension if there's absolutely no risk to Kurt involved, you know? If we go into a fight knowing that Kurt will be untouched, it loses a lot of potential drama.

We're not even saying to have it be like, an even match-- but rather, showing the opponent seeming to get an edge in, on occasion.

There's the saying "rooting for the underdog", because, people generally identify with [and sympathize] with people who undergo struggles, and want them to face the 'threat' and then it feels satisfying. Though its a fight scene, it still applies.

That isn't to say to stop making Kurt be a badass. But, have him be a badass in danger!! Double the badassness!!

Elge: being french, i do admit that i still have things to learn about english.

Elyan: noted, and your comment made me realise that i LOVE to put words in my comics ^^ha ha, i'll train myself to synthetise more.

I super wanted to take both these fights and I couldnt but I'm glad you fought each other instead!

Radji: you have this habit, in this and your last comic of... how do I put this. You write Kurt to be like this awesome badass and he totally is, but no one else ever really seems to get a shot in. So it never seems like hes in any kind of peril which makes him a bit more difficult to relate to. Theres like... no conflict. Hes beating up a lot of gross dudes who deserve it but I don't know anything about him besides that, he doesnt seem to show any emotions aside from disgust (disgusting though this city may be). I feel like you gotta let your opponent's character get a word in edgewise once in a while. That said, about the comic, i love the high contrast red on black, and you have fantastic gestures and poses, the silhouette on page 7 was awesome. Theres also awesome angles and foreshortening in this, and the violence is very impactful. I agree that page 10 needed more show and less tell, and whole whole comic appears to take place in a backgroundless void- I see a brick wall but that doesnt say much, you gotta establish a bit more of a setting. But it is VERY gratifying to see Creepy Jimmy get the absolute shit beat out of him lol
Wolcik, always a pleasure to have you come back around! I know you are very busy with marriage and children so its great when you can find time to battle! Its a shame this didnt quite get finished, i would have loved to see the animation that was supposed to go in it, and i imagine it would have made the final page make a slight bit more sense because im also a little confused about the scar. it DOES seem you have psycically conjoined Kurt and Dot, so im interested to see what that entails. I liked this fight scene, you make Kurt look like a fucking BADASS which is always awesome lol and I like how you draw jimmy's powers. his smile on page 4 is fucking terrifying. The background sort of vanishes after a couple pages though which gives the comic a bit of a hollow feeling- your lines are very nice but they arent *quite* enough here. I cant say i want to see more of this character but i also cant say i want to see less of him. youve made a real monster here and in its own way thats to be commended because im sure im meant to hate him and by god i do lol.

Radji: Oh man. I'm gonna sound like such a dickhead, but I've always felt grammar is SO important in comics. I am aware you're not native English speaker, but that, for me, doesn't excuse the grammaticcal mistakes. There's a few words in there that took me out of the atmosphere, just because of a mispelled word.
My recommendation would be to get a Beta reader, to proofread your comics and avoid that.
Also. That's a lot of text, in page 1 and 10.
Other than that, I really enjoyed the pacing of your comic.
And I really enjoyed the Inglorious Bastards reference.
Good job!

Wolcik: I knew there were a lot of controversies when this character got accepted in VOID, but I am glad you finally were able to battle with him. I also understand you weren''t able to focus completely on it because father duties called.
I liked the fight scene a lot, to me it felt well paced, but as Elyan said, I am unsure what the scar consists of. Are they merged by the powers of Creepy Jimmy?
Any way, it's good to see you posting comics again.

Radji: i really liked your attempt here. the fact that you begin your entry right in the heat of a scene if very likeable and i needed a moment of adjustment until realization struck me hard. overall i like what you did there. the moment you get better on your art it might really combine well with the nice writing.
only page 1 and 10 were a little letdown. you could at least have drawn some panels onthem. like chief officer on the radio on page 10 listening to what gumshow has to say. page one what have also profited from at least one panel. a closup panel of page 2 panel 1 for example.
anyways. i really enjoyed this. its nice to see some more intereaction and insight into kurt.

wolcik: best thing here is the art aspect. i like the lines and overall action. though some shading or at least grey as background colour what have done the comics mood good. this looks a bit empty and light. also there isnt much going aside from a fight which is simple and nice but i´m sure you are able to come up with better plots.
also. i´m sorry but i dont get what kurt and dots scar is.... are they fused together so one cant leave the other?
maybe im just blind and too tired here :/
anyways. great to have you back and hopefully more of your nice linework will follow :)

Wolcik: Fuck it... 3rd page and the last suppose to be animated (additional panels) I didn't put the text in, however my son is unable to go to sleep and stuff, so I either finish the comics or strangle my son - guess what I chose.

.... is it normal that i feel uneasy about answering ^^haha let's just hope we understand without the text, if there's a lot of actions maybe we will not need the text ^^
