This isn't an indepth crit or anything but I wanted to say to Jet that your comic was fun, and bright and also messed up, but in a good way!

I typically had more time on my earlier work haha! Thanks though, I'm glad the messiness/slapdashness people have mentioned wasn't TOO much of an issue cos I definitely knew about it and was worried about it haha. I wish I'd had more time but alas, full time work is a pain in the ass and in the end I only had a few hours after work on three days plus a little bit of brainstorming time late Sunday night my time when the matchups were posted. I'm really proud of what I managed in any case, this is a personal best for the amount of time I spent on it I feel. I have slightly more time for the next round so if I get through I will do my best to slow down and get cleaner because that's an ongoing issue (the brackets help cos I've been able to start thinking of ideas).

Also Taylor: They're tilted all over the place because true horizontals and verticals are for suckas (jokes). I have no idea how I managed to tilt them mostly one way though. I think that's just my subconscious noting reading direction? Who knows it's a bit weird. I'll keep an eye on it for next time.

WILLIAM: Love this comic, Bodot and George are sexy as hell and your inks at the bottom of page one are really killer. I love that Bodot just randomly kills George but has somehow forgotten about it and assumes that he was there at the gun but I can see how it's a little confusing. Would have loved a third page to let you pace it out a bit more but I get the time thing on this! Thanks for a good matchup, good luck :)

Jet, In comparison to your earlier work, it feels like this was done hastily especially on some panels. Overall, however, I can say that this is a rather entertaining read replete with subtle humor. Keep at it and show the world what you can do.

William, the Waiting for Godot reference got me. You should have banked on the wonderfully illustrated first page and continued with it as the following page felt rather lacking. Still a subtle dialogue elicited a chortle of two, though the ambiguity of it all is hard to follow.

Pukka work you lot. Onward to the next round!

JETSTER- Kinda messy and slapdash, but considering the characters, I think it fits? XD Its becoming clear for round 1 the comics that're pushing ahead of the pack went balls to the wall with humor or horror and this definitely fits the bill for the former. These two are super wacky and I wanna see more!

WILL_DUEL- Not gonna lie, a bit throw over what exactly went down after page two. They're dead, but alive? But talking, then decapitation. Ya lost me XD

Light Speed Critique: Jetster, I have that song stuck in my head now. thank you. The panels work well, but somehow seem like they're tilted to one side across the first two pages. Not sure if that's intentional to give it a top left to bottom right reading path, or just happenstance. William_duel, you shoulda fought Tree too, because those trees are nice! But the panel with the tree and masquerade going both infront of and behind the same panel seems a tad off, especially on a blank white backgrounds.

Miss Jay - Love it. The bright colours, the ridiculous premise, the death, the swearing. It's great.

Mister Duel - The premise works, though I wish you'd done more with that title... The second page over all came really abruptly from 'until that fateful day' to 'hey we're seeking revenge now' which I mean, sure I understand what happened in between, but since you don't show it, I just don't really feel it. Then it's a bit of a mess with the bit about the penguin being already dead even though he was just there...
