thanks for the comments puzzlething & thresher. I completely agree with the assessment on the colorings- I had several ideas i wanted to implement had I more time. I can recall a couple of battles I did where the coloring was stronger and worked well with the inking, so that's something thats worth revisiting the next time i submit to void.

Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh, I love reading your comics and hate trying to crit them! Your linework, page composition, and technique is all like next level stuff. Like I often don't know what to say than that your just one of the most talented people I ever get to semi-talk to.

One of my favorite things about your art is how you have such a massive reservoir of pure technical ability to draw on, but your totally relaxed and confident. You seem to to know exactly when to relax and when to tighten up. It's even in your writing actually! So much of the comic is grandiose and lofty, and then Mortido is always the realest most normal/visceral dude.

I absolutely love the 2nd page. That panel with the huge dark circle is just amazing.

I'm also not super into your colours. Don't get me wrong, I think the idea to add them, and those colours (I love that green) are great, but I'm just not into the execution. It's so overly soft and digital, it doesn't feel assertive enough to hang with everything else. I they would've fit  alot better if you kept the edges hard, and kept any sort of simple gradients on the inside maybe.

     So amazing ♥♥♥♥

Holy fuck, Choleric, holy fuck. Your inking is top notch and the compositions you have are on point. The colours are a bit sporadic, and combined with the sharper black and white pages make an odd contrast as they really make the black and white stuff feel empty. It's difficult when you're working in a purely traditional medium but it may be worthwhile to give it some tones (I'm particularly looking at page7).

Beyond that I am intensely excited to see where you take this, Mortido the Armageddon? Amazing.

p.s. I totally saw the Jane Blonde Poster.

As usual, your ink and line-work is impeccable. You know how to use your tools and are just always on point when it comes to using those black lines. You've been working stronger and stronger since your return during the Wacky Races Tournament and I've really enjoyed every second of it. I honestly have very little to talk about regarding your ink-washes, line-work, and ink-work, because you've really got a very precise handle on them.

I'm not 100% behind the white ink. I wish that you had desaturated it, because the blue tone it takes away from the work some for me. I don't feel like anything is lost by keeping all the ink-work perfectly black and white (save for when color is used selectively) and it still looks just as good on the pages where the white ink was used. Page 12 in particular works just fine if desaturated and you still have the depth of the smoke/fire/energy coming off of Mortido without that blue tone that's competing for my attention.

Your color usage was really good, I did like the selective coloring that you used, and the colors you used within it. I just kind of wish there was more of it. I feel like the end of page 11 would warrant it or maybe all of the panels where we see the fire coming off of Mortido. Just those high-impact energy pieces that really could have utilized the color to the fullest extent.

I kind of wish we had more story, if only because it was so interesting. More dialogue from the original Mortido to the new one would be so great to see. Hopefully whatever happens next will provide more insight to this place and why it exists and what the situation is, because you've got my attention. Although, I'm rather confused as to where the second robot arm came from on Mortido, since his left arm is his Robosockmonkey Arm, but once he boils up, he has the arm on his right side. Was it just an error on your part?

All in all, you're constantly impressive. Terrific work, you've done good.

@monday: Mars's outro and behind-the-scenes activity is a perfect set up for the mystery of Mortido's transformation (or regression i should say). I have every intention of making Mortido an armageddon-level threat ;3

@pyras: no, i put "to be continued" RIGHT WHERE I WANT IT.

And thanks for the comments everybody! Give me more, i feed off of the attention.

For someone whom I only fought once, and collaborated with once you have essentially grasped my characters with style that smelled like a shadowy collaboration. But the truth is, I just saw this comic for the first time when it dropped and I hardly recall the coversation we had when I did make plans to extend Mars' story. For this act alone I am actually impressed that you caught on to their nuances so well that you essentially went BATTLE INTERPRETATION with them.

The rest of the story is a look into Mortido's overdue decline as a superhero and his possible descent (ascent ) into Armageddon threat. Should that become the case, we will probably see each other on the battlefield again very soon.

I have to say those face melting panels on pg. 11 was beyond fucking intense and I loved it.

Wow!! This was an amazing comic! your level of detail blows me away! personally, i kinda liked the colour accents, i thought they set a mood, and the panel in the middle of page 7 was especially haunting. i hope theres more to come, I need to see what happens with Skeleton Mortido! (I wonder if this will make him easier or harder to draw? lol) great job! high scores from me!

Dude this was rad. I don't have much to say other than I don't think the accents of colours did the art any favours on the first few pages, you seemed to have a better handle on it when you got to the last couple there with the hints of blue which really looked nice.

Still that's like a minor thing, these pages are fucking rad dude. I love the Epilogue pages!! especially that cityscape, lots of cool looking sci-fi buildings there.

Choleric you put the "to be continued" on the wrong page lol

It's so awesome to finally see this comic coming forward, I love how you illustrated Mortido now realizing the true nature of the Vektrans among society. I'm not sure how I feel about the color accents, sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. I feel like there's a tad more empty space in the last few pages

despite all that I still loved this, as I love most comics that progress void canon, gave it 9's all around~
