NACHTE- You know that feeling when you went to go watch the second Lord of the Rings movie? Just knowing you essentially watched a long intermission of stuff before getting to the good stuff in the last movie? This felt kind of like that. I feel story wise we're suspended, and nothing really significant happened. Granted, I'm sure that devilish deal that was struck was pretty important, but again, its action and adventure that looks like it'll be saved for the finale. Still though, I dunno how or if you planned it, but I love that opening line about a villain rising as a hero and a hero rising as a villain. Really strikes home to your comics overall theme which I dug. I gotta admit your quality is taking somewhat of a dive as we get to the wire in this tournament. I'mma chalk it up to the balls to the wall crazy deadline and all the work you've been pumping in since this ride started. I did however enjoy you managed to add in that trademark glow to Leaders eyes in this round seeing as its been on all your comics so far. Finish strong man!
CHARLIE- Seems both you and your opponent got stuck in this 'middle episode-itis where we get this really cool build up of events to battle and glory, but no payoff. It leaves me super bummed out because one of you isn't going to move on and tell us how it ends. I'm gonna die with the not knowing! XD I dig that you've used Dr. Fabulous as a common enemy for you and your opponent to band against, not to mention the rad eeeevil make-over you gave the good doctor. You really have a knack for making other peoples characters your own and soupin' them up for ultimate badassery. Also the Fabulous Shaft, my gosh, I leaned back in my chair and about died. How appropriate a stronghold! Your lines and colors were pretty top notch to and I'll be the first to say this was more visually legible than the usual hyper black inks/negative space style you usually do. Keep up the good work!

This might be the toughest matchup for me so far, I really didn't want to see either of these end.
Obviously these are both quickies, so I won't comment on the art quality, just a couple details I really like about each.
Nachte, it's a little detail, but the way you did the dialogue balloons in page 6, panels 1 and 2 to transition us "through the screen" is brilliantly simple. That one's going in my utility belt.
Charlie, the screen tones were a good choice, they make these pages really easy to read. Good on ya for making that judgment call, and for buckling down and hammering this one out. Six pages in a day is godly, even at this level of sketchiness. Sketchy lines maintain all that great raw energy, anyway. Cock n' balls tower gets a point, and I love the closeup of the evil boss's eyes on the last page.

I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to submit, that art test and not getting it kinda demotivated me + the time I lost from doing it in the first place. THAT SAID THO, I ended up doing my comic today. Its a bit rough around the edges (as expected from something done entirely on the final day haha) but I still think it looks better than last round. I opted instead of going for my usual inking style on a rush (because that doesn't work for me on strict deadlines) and decided to tone it instead. I think it should alleviate a lot of the clarity problems. The word bubbles kinda took a hit tho since I left 'em messy, sorry hah, but its all perfectly legible.
And even though I haven't really done my own story/ideas justice up until now, I still hope people appreciate the small little tease at what the whole story of Ailie was supposed to culminate with two years ago. Regardless of whether I win or lose here, I can still continue this story with another character...
Anyway it was fun doing this and I am glad I still did it today. I am excited to see yours Nachte! Mine is short and sweet as well.

Uploaded! Its short, sweet, and a little messy. But I'm content with it for the time/energy I had to invest.

Heads up guys, I've been struggling with dry eyes and bad tearduct irritation and its resulted in double vission and a lot of gross pain so I can't give you a solid comic. I'll try and get something out but it's a maybe.

Charlie: Don't be, there is a very good chance I might have an inking gig on a DC comic book for an issue (I am currently doing the art test for it now) and if I get it then chances are I won't be able to submit unfortunately. The deadline on that is tight.
