I like how this continues your saga from Tag Team Tournament - kudos on not losing any momentum. I like Malec, and its good to see his progression. Though he's got some darkness in his lineage, I trust him to do the right thing as well :)

I agree with Puzzle about the expressions - the stylized anatomy and body language is pretty expressive, but facially everone's pretty mellow. Though I realize it was a pretty mellow story, I think I'd like to see more animated faces next time :D Keep up the great work!

While you're backgrounds are mostly completely amazing, there are a few problems/stuff-I-would-change. The choice to use a colder red for the sky to contrast the ground is perfect, but I think you should've spread some of that coldness into the bits of the ruins that stretch far back. Just a little bit of atmospheric perspective would've helped illustrate the scale of the wasteland, and made the ruins easier to parse.

There are some perspective issues in panels 1, 2, and 4 on page 4. I'm not sure, but it seems like you're trying to have an elevated camera shooting down at the characters. Except that the characters aren't drawn in that perspective, while the background is. Whenever I'm working on a camera angle I know is going to be challenging ( which is like everything but strait on for me haha), I try to spend more time drawing out the simple geometric shapes of my figures, to make sure it works before fleshing it out.

I feel like you're being much too reserved with your facial expressions. Malec in particular doesn't range too far from his neutral. Don't be afraid to stretch and squash your characters facial features a little bit, you can maintain the naturalism of your tone and still exaggerate more than this.

It's a nit-picky thing, but I really don't like the panel borders. I think it's takes away from the softness of the art in the panels. You could've thinned those big, bold, black lines by half and it would've drawn a lot less attention to itself.

Bdubs, I saw you complaining about flatting, have you tried using mangastudio? I feel like a missionary or something, but it really is super awesome.

I hope even if you don't read all those silly criticisms from a mediocre artist you read this. I love this comic. There's no way you get sick of hearing how lovely your colours are, because I can't get sick of saying it. Brick red and Chartreuse, oh my god. OH MY GOD. Just stupid good dude. I love how you take what's really just a small moment of plot exposition, Malec taking the demon, and weave around it a mass of feelings and character development. I haven't read enough your characters  stories that I feel I fully understand the context of what's going on, but through your writing I feel connected to the moment I get to see.

   Great work dude!

I'd review this or something but I shouldn't even be awake right now

TLDR

You continue to impress with great writing, well-drawn characters, and stories that evolve out of character nuance rather than gimmick.  High marks all around.

page 6's direction is perfection. Once again you prove to still be my favorite writer on the site.

This was really touching, LeFred. The inverted colors for the flashback was a great touch too.

Your comic gave me feels. Feels, man.

I don't know much about your characters but I loved this comic. Really did.
Father/Son relationships are probably one of my favorites because I don't know and oshdbfydsgfbaljsfas.

I like your flats. A lot. And the little backstory of Buster was pretty cool. Breaking the cycle of an abusive authority with an "I trust you" and a hug.
Great work mate. I really liked this comic.

LOVEIT - Im biast of course, but I love the facial expressions on awesome's face. Like he's watching how human face works doing emotions or something, he's so stoic it's crazy.

As for the rest of the story - love the part about passing the powa, and flashback is giving a nice set up for closure :)

P.S. what a twist it would be if the father slaping Buster was Awesome in the past... dun dun DUN - I am your father, Bust XD

LeFred:
This will be slightly late

Or you know, NOT. Used another coloring way that's still longer than usual but doesn't take 5 hours a page for some flats.
ANYWAY. All the pages seem to be updloaded fine.

FUCKING
HELL
This will be slightly late because my computer is being SO slow on coloring, it's like it's activly trying to piss me off. I should have been done YESTERDAY at normal speed.
It is the worse.
And I hate it.
With passion.
