It looks like the time limit really came back to bite you in the butt, but your time management will naturally get better as you fight more. Hopefully none of the stuff I bring up is there just because you were rushed.

I think you have really strong structure and confident line-work. Your action scenes should be very dynamic but there's so much unused negative space that I felt removed from the fight. Too often you try and fit the entire pose into a shot, when a closer point of view would've still kept the action legible, while making me feel more involved in the scene. I also agree with Animeshen that Kruger could be throwing himself into his movements more.

The  joke about the destruction of Void City was hilarious, and I can't wait to see more fights from you dude. Your completed artwork is so nice, it makes me excited to see what you can do as you get used to working on a schedule

Ceallach            -

Wow dude, this is so much clearer than your last comic. There's a great balance between saturation and desaturation that keeps everything easy to read.

I think you could afford to play around more with shifting the tones in your color palette to suit the mood of the scene or strengthen a color scheme. You have a great sense of color, and you use it effectively, but once you've decided on the color of an object you just make it that exact tone throughout the story, regardless of mood or setting.

When Mr. Minotaur is removing Kruger's bonds at the bottom of page 13, it's a little unclear. The latch is like the same color as his skin, and I think you could've drawn the reader's eyes to the shackle by having Kruger look up at it.

I feel I don't have much to say that isn't nit-picky, because this comic is really great dude. I love how you use texture, and the whole comic has a great consistent, unified feel. That scratchy, blotchy brush you use for all your line-work is totally sweet, it really suits you and the stories you tell.

And the stories you tell! I don't know if you put a lot of effort into it, or it just comes naturally, but I think you did a fantastic job with the characters. From the facial expression, to the strong voice each person  possesses, everyone has a clear and unique identity. Your stories just seem to rise up naturally from just plopping down such complete people and letting them interact.

Oh gosh that was too much fun. I really liked umbrella frog's and I think it was pretty close humorwise. The story in Ceallach's was just too silly not to love more though. I'll always be a fan of that art style. I also happen to be into big noses.

why is no one commenting on this? these are brilliant!
umbrellafrog, your character cracks me up haha! hes very entertaining! I love the faces you draw, though you could maybe do more with the poses- like the "homerun!" panel, it didn't feel like he struck very hard, maybe draw more of a twist in his pose. The comics a bit messy and theres some pages where you utterly gave up on backgrounds but everything is still clear and the backgrounds you did rush out looked pretty good with decent perspective. I kind of liked the black and white with a hint of red! Hope to see more comics from you!
ceallach gosh I don't even know how to critique this because its like so perfect to me! I like the scrathcy panel borders and sort of coffee coloured overlay on the whole thing, and the story was so funny and surreal! the action, the expressions, the panel layout... shit lol I'm sorry this isn't a very constructive review but I just can't think of anything you could use work on. Just keep doin' what you do, hope to see more comics from you as well!
