@HIEMIE- Dude, thank you SO MUCH. Good marks coming from you really means alot since I really admire your storytelling and comics :D

@FENCE- Haha, yeah the giraffe was totally obscured, but that was the gag- he's so tall he gets lost in the speech bubbles. Probably didn't come across as I intended. So glad you're looking forward to more- I'm gonna deliver!

@MISTER KENT- I'm SO glad you noticed the new school v.s old school meet up. That was totally what I was trying to convey! I had lots of fun bringing across the whole 'past & present' theme of this B.B. Just hope it wasn't too confusing.

@ANIMESHEN- ;3; Thank youuuu. If the comic engaged you and left you wanting more, then my job was successful. Thank you so much!

@BOBO- Haha, I did my best to cameo who I could so the comic felt like it was in Void proper. Here's a listing of who I got: Dandy Dan, Johnny Patch, Clydesdale horse, Pip Poodle, Slime, Goth Girl, Lesdai Grahl, Beo, Special friend, Xia, Wizzie Belles, Tiffany Dropkick, Mammon (on a poster, which was featured in Florence's intro comic), aaand I think that's it!

@VIDEO320- Yeah, I'd LOVE to get my past battles up or viewing again, but it seems like such a pestering thing to bother Dan with. Maybe someday! I'm so pleased to hear the storytelling bit shone through as I feel its my weakest point. Not to mention the fact Mimi's silent actions like her glass twirling are noticed and appreciated is great. Thanks a bunch for your comment and we DEFINITELY need to battle. It'll be a French revolution! :D

@DIMENSION- This is a great crit. I agree my linework is wonky as I started this comic traditionally, but added things digitally after the fact. I think that's to blame for the wonky line-widths and I'll be sure to keep an eye out for that for next time. *groan* oh yes, my perspective and sense of environment. I submitted this and  KNEW I was going to get pegged on that as its my weakest point. I'll have to hunker down and do some serious practice- good thing comic battles are great training ground.

Thanks so much for the feedback everyone. Feels so great to be back! :D

Kozi,

you definitely have a good sense of design. The page layouts, color schemes and compositions all seem to work together nicely. The comic flowed and read well too. You did a pretty awesome job with this overall. It was a great short story and I'm excited to see what you'll do in 2013.

I do think there are still some things you can work on though. Your line work is wonky here and there. You do vary your line widths, but it it's not always handled well. Sometimes (on the characters, usually) you make certain parts of your lines thick where they should be thin and other parts are thick where they should be thinner. The walrus on the first page is a good example of what I am talking about.

Another thing I feel you could work on is perspective and scale. At times the angles on the characters don't always match up with the angle of the background they're in. They feel out of perspective. Look at page 2, panel 3, the angle we are looking at Mimi from doesn't match the seats behind her and they look a bit too small too. Seems like you have some trouble drawing objects in space, which is pretty common, a lot of artists seem to struggle with this, myself included. The fourth panel of the third shows where this issue is most apparent, a lot of the people on that floor look too small or too big when compared to other people or objects (like the table)  next to them.

When it comes to the art, this feels like a solid comic otherwise. Excellent job Kozi and keep it up!

Most of your comics are broken images so I haven't had the pleasure of seeing as much of your work as I would have liked. So this was great!  As amazing as your artwork is, your storytelling is what shines through. On the second page, with Mimi twirling her glass. I love that. All 10s, seriously, good job.

In your STRONG return in 2013, we should totally battle. That would make me very happy.

Kozi, oh my god! This is so awesome! Beautifully drawn, dramatic storytelling, and it read somehow both tragic and comedic which is like awesomely perfect for the characters and context! I'm so excited to see more!

I loved this Kozi. The flashback scenes were great, but it was nice to see Mimi alongside Wizzie and Xia--truly a meeting of old school (literally in Mimi and Clyde's cases!) and new school! Can't wait to see what you have planned for 2013 :)

kozi this was really great! the one thing that I really noticed though was that giraffe on the first page, cause his head is cut off by speech bubbles. otherwise this was cute, and I'm looking forward to the next part!

Absolutely wonderful! A void BB that actually feels like it's part of Void. It develops the character and her atmosphere around here.

Completely and entirely great. This MIGHT be my comic of the year.
