Kinuchio: I sorta just ran into this accidentally, but I'm so glad I did! I love your style so much, dude. That is all.

Kinuchio: I don't know what to say, except that this is one of the best comics I've seen this round. The art feels filled and complete, the writing's solid, pacing is nice, everything's just good. Listen to what better artists than I have said thus far and keep up the good work!

Kinuchio-very nice! I love how expressive your work is and the story was simple and entertaining. One thing that will not only look better, but cut out some of your time spent on coloring, is focusing on just using solid tones for the background. The more painterly looking backgrounds work against the simple rendering of the characters so it would be good to just use simple rendering on both.

Nice first battle Kinuchio! The quality of your pages were rather nice and the story was alright, it was fun
I think you have a pretty good grasp on paneling and angles, though you could push your angles a little bit more maybe. I did like the line work and I've always liked you drawing style. Good job with your first round!

Apologize I couldn't turn in my entry with the others. There was an issue last week where I was unable to post but thankfully, I'm back on the net. My part will be posted very soon and hopefully you will enjoy it as much as the match it was competing against.
Congratulations on your advance to the second round of VOID, Kinuchio! But don't let the victory get to your head. There's still plenty of challenging competition out there to keep you and Jimmy busy, haha. I enjoyed your entry, man. Funny and entertaining as it went on each page.

Hey kinuchio, not a bad start at all! Writing was very solid and the action on page 6 was pretty tight!

Kun: This comic looks really nice. A fine start on the site. Sometimes your panels feel a bit cramped though, and your backgrounds are a little weak at times because your line quality is a bit scrobbly and lacks confidence. At the same time though, perhaps the scribbliness makes it so your characters pop from the backgrounds. I had little trouble with clarity for this. The writing was very charming and gave a good sense of who the characters are in your comic. Kinda sad you ended on a DBZ cliffhanger. A great comic though.
sketchfighter: Aw man, why is it all the characters I liked defaulted. Makes me bummed. Thems the breaks, I guess.

The style for this is pretty nice, and the comic was well-paced. In the future, though, make sure to watch how you place your speech bubbles. Ideally, you want to have room for your characters so that they aren't covered up by the balloons (specifically I'm thinking the first panel of page 3). Looking forward to seeing more!

I love the style in this, and your humour is so great. As has been mentioned, your grey tones are brilliant. It's OK to suck but you definitely don't, hahaha...

Wicked hip style you've got that's perfectly suited to the characters attributes, endearing cameos and a great format to frame this fight against the tournament itself. Impressive gray tones which make me quite jealous. Can't wait to see you carry it forward.
Bummer about the default.

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone. And for those who gave critique, I promise to work harder on the next one!
Sketch, it really sucks that your internet went down, cuz this isn't the way I wanted to win. Regardless, I'll read yours and enjoy it wholeheartedly. And after this is all over, if you want a rematch, I'm down!

Sad to see sketchy default, but Kinuchio definitely turned in a fun little thing. Your rendition of Baghead was very fun and Jimmy not having any wisecrack ability to answer Baghead's was amusing.
"Wow, my fists have the ability to make people talk to themselves! NEATO!"
I laughed. If a comedic comic makes me laugh out loud at least once, it has done something right. And so you have.

Man I love this, I echo Delya's comment 100%. I also love this because it has sort of a classic Megaman-esque aesthetic to it, and that automatically gets like 10 points in my heart alone.
Great stuff dude.

Kinuchio, you did not disappoint, sir. Your comic was cute and funny, overall very enjoyable. :] Loved the flow of action and pacing as well as the quirky dialogue. Definitely won a place in my heart with Jimmy Boom. Occasionally your speed lines get a bit garbled, which makes some of your panels look sloppy. I'd love to see a full color battle from you someday!

Kinuchio: Solid story, great art, awesome pacing. It was easy to invest in your character's future. Keep it up!

The Sketch Fighter: Its a shame, since I heard you were coming along great and apparently something got messed up with the submission process? Hope to see what you've got at some point!
Kinuchio: Lets get down to it shall we?
PROS: I'm really digging Jimmy's simple and sharp design, and his personality seems really endearing and fun-loving. I also like how you involved another tournament character in the beginning just as a side character before we go to the showdown with Baghead. Your use of greys, and background details in the right panels made the comic feel very finished, and your dialouge for Baghead was very entertaining.
CONS: Though your angles and shots WITHIN the panels during the fight were interesting enough, try to even mix up the panel layout itself, drawing them at angles and vary their size a bit more rather than keeping them just in standard right angles and rows. This can usually help in increasing the dynamic nature of fights even more.
