I'd watch those action scenes, some of them lost impact due to how they were drawn.

Thanks very much guys! Glad you enjoyed it! I will work on the detail and thick line issue in the future, part 2 is already complete but I'll see if I can't get some refining in on part 3 as I'm not finished with it yet and it's not the page monster that part 2 is haha

I really cannot wait to read the next comic. This was really good and the story flowed pretty well. Some of the actions parts were a bit too scribbly for me though. I sometimes had a hard time distinguishing what the movement was. Other than that though, this was pretty sweet. Good job! :D I also really love how you handle this color scheme btw.

Man, I almost missed this~ Awesome read, Angie. <3 I felt the lines were a bit too thick at times, it'd be nice to work on adding a tad more detail perhaps. Otherwise, I'm liking the style a lot. Looking forward to more!

Idunno if anyone else told you but you already know my favorite moment was when Kateri fakes out Julia with the fall. It's such a small little thing but it's a brilliant diabolical nod to the character and makes that much more of a villain you love to hate.

Here are some notes:
I agree with Foo, there are a few moments where the art seems so simplified that if it weren't for the spectacular coloring it'd look quite so-so. Though they're mostly not too big a deal, the biggest offender is the last panel of page nine. Although actually it may be more the composition of that panel that I have a problem with.. the thing is that this is simply a transition panel to the next of her throwing the lamp, but the panel is so large that it draws extra attention to itself, and slows down that moment to the reader. The first time I saw the panel I didn't know that she was reaching for it, more than facing her palm at it, as if casting a spell or psychic powers. The figure in position with the lamp is a tad awkward, which is causing that effect I feel, but it can easily be fixed by shrinking the panel by a half at least.

I had read somewhere that large panels draw attention to the image to the reader and they subconsciously take more time with it, which is why they're used for settings and slow-paced moments, and that smaller panels in fast situations help emphasize the speed of the moment. I don't know how much of this is true but I have seen the effect from both what I read and what I drew.

That's pretty much it, your comics always bring very little complaints and so much goodness, so I'll be waiting with everyone else's baited breath for part 2 :)

Aaaaangieeee, so is Julia dead? Like totally dead? Or will she be kept alive to torture Angie further? Or are you not gonna tell me anyway and keep me in suspense not being able to sleep for another month?!?!??!?!?!

Also: this is all I expected, awesome work man, awesome. Ur my hero!

Thanks for the comment! Yeah I'm still trying to get a good balance between simple and what I used to do. I definitely won't be able to go as detailed as I used to due to time constraints, but I'll definitely try to make sure it's a good enough balance to where it still looks good.

i dug it. as far as the story goes i thought it was enjoyable... Kateri seems like the classic villain architype... nothin wrong with those. good times. Julia went out like a G.. tho im sure Angie would have liked it better if Julia just stalled for a while till she could get there. but whatcha gonna do.

art wise, it read well.. the actions came through fine. i feel like some of the art is getting so overly simplified that its masking what youre actually capable of. maybe using the messiness a little tooo much as a tool for short cutting things. but again it read well... the simplified color style i actually think is cool and suits you nicely. definitely want to see what happens next in the story.
