Very serious story for EV. And thats a good thing. The site needs a bit more of that.

Nice to see a coloured comic here from you. I do have to agree a bit with Fred, its pretty simple. I don't think that this in of itself is a bad thing, but rather the story is told very quick. I think for a story with the emotional impact such as this it could have been perhaps told a little bit longer or told over a couple different comics. As it stood I didn't really feel any emotional attachment to the father at all. Perhaps if there were more connections to him within the rest of Ivan's comics that sort of build up to this reveal it would have had a little more impact. Thats how I feel about it, but I am not the world's best when it comes to writing sensibilities as plots are my weakest point. Same as Fred, its enough to be interested but not anything that has me super excited.
Visually though I was pleased with it. It fits the tone of the character and seems very grounded in real life. I do think that perhaps even the images accompanying the text could have perhaps been more expressive since I do agree it is a bit stiff.
Overall though not bad dude! Keep it up, I'd love to see more comics of this quality visually anyway out of you !

Visually, it's pretty good, though pretty bland. The figures are stiff in places and the composition on the safe side. It's not bad, but it's not exciting to look at.
The story of his life is told pretty quickly; He gets married as a kid and loses his wife in three panels... OUCH. I wouldn't want to be him.
But that's just the middle page, I like the pace of the other two. In fact, you could've almost cut the middle page off. It'd be hella short, but the pace would be consistent and I'd be almost as intrigued.
Though I'd rather have a longer life story if we need one.
So we know stuff is gonna happen with Ivan but we don't know what and we know his dad's life but we don't know how relevant it is. It's enough to get me intrigued, but not enough to get me excited.
It's a good comic, it reads well and gets what it needs across, but it's not the most fun a read I've had.
