this is a good place to kick your ass about backgrounds. Looking at the backgrounds in my first comics, then in my latest comics, it's crazy-nuts the improvement that's visible.

Thanks for all the crits guys :) I actually enjoy getting them cause then I can kick my own butt into improving.

So I seem to be getting a lot of "work on your eyes" haha and I'll make sure to do that, I've always struggled with drawing eye's especially like this. Any one have some good resources for that? I'd greatly appreciate it.

As for the anatomy, it's a process I guess. I actually do have those books RoflQu, though I haven't looked at them in a good time, perhaps I'll be break them back out. I really need to get back into drawing, I've kind of let it slip out of my life at the moment... Which is no good.

And the other thing I'm getting here is buildings.... I won't try to defend myself, my buildings are terrible. Alberto, I actually said the same thing to myself when I finished. I was pretty disappointed with them. For me architecture and buildings and cars and the like are really really daunting. Which I know means I should go out and draw them like continuously until I start to get the hang of them...

Again thanks for the crits, I'm gonna be working on those things and try to avoid taking six months to do another battle

London: Hey there, it's good to see you back and doing stuff again! You need to work on your eyes and general anatomy. You're in the right direction, but you need to practice a lot more. If you haven't yet, consider downloading Andrew Loomis anatomy books, they would help you out a bunch, I think.

All these lines on the face are not doing you favors. They're really making your people ugly. As a rule of thumb, you usually make people look that much older by adding those lines. If you want to use that for a gentle reminder where to put your lights, shadows, and back lights, that's fine, but drawing them doesn't look good.

Also, buildings need some windows. Flat boxes don't help you, either. It's a nice START of a city view, but without the proper detail to back it up, it's just a start. This was a good read and I liked what you did and I'm interested to see what you do next.

Amaloo: Look at how active you are! Taking on a tournament and regular battles, what a trooper. I like the attempt, but I think you stretched yourself too thin. Your anatomy is looking a lot better. I'm particularly enamored by the Penelope you drew on Page 2, very cool posing there. Your colors are still in top form, as well.

It's a bummer you didn't get to finish, I liked where it was going, since I do like the narrative of Penelope and Duane a lot. I suppose I'm only left feeling a bit cold at how empty it the story is. But, that happens. If you're a bit burnt out, only time fixes that. Overall, I hope your next entry for the site will be stronger, but if it takes awhile, then I hope whatever you do next you'll have more passion for.

I'm digging the colors and I love those clouds. Plot was quite simple but very neat and easy to follow.
Artwise I'd point things I would fix site by site:
#1 Tony's eyes on close up looks very messy as if they moved. You should eighter make his head rotate more or make one eyes wide open and one nearly close to give a contrast. Eyes doesn't swim on faces to make facial expressions :P
#3 On bottom Penelope was too thing and more of her back should be shown - it looks as if she merged with the wall from this perspective because where her arms should be connected to her body there's a wall. Otherwise her slimness was well caught
#4 When Penelope stood up her legs are too short in proportion to her whole body.
#5 Tony's hand looks a little weird - the further his fingers are away from viewer then your attention to detail decreased. Try practicing drawning hands from real life a little to get that right.
#7 When they both are falling I'd say that it would be much more interesting composition and it'd be much cleared if each pair of them (in time shown in the same picture) would be in bigger distance trowards other pairs - and show the distances shortening inside pairs.
#8 On the upper panel the smoke looks very flat in comparison to perspective of the building in the background - well, both characters should be seen from higher perspective.
Also I'd make bubbles higher - make the distance between edges and text bigger cause in some pleces it looks like bubbles are eating the dialoque and it's a bad thing to have strong dynamics in normal dialoques - bubbles takes attention from actual drawnings.
I just wanted to try and give "constructive critique". I liked the story and I wouldn't mind having Mr.Awesome face Tony one day :)

I don't have much to say artwise since you go with style I'm not good to criticise - It always looks very crowded and panels doesn't seem split, it's very heavy to read because black spaces are more like a part of art and makes pages marge togheter making the comics harder to read as whole - it's probably your decision so I can't give any advice on that.
Storywise I'm always sad when someone fights someone and characters don't get to interact because it feels more like a Beyond Battle with a camoe.

I'm sorry I couldn't give you a better battle London.
I guess my heart wasn't in it..

London, I have your advice! first off, your faces look a bit patched together, especially that one of Penelope in page 2. your anatomy isn't glaringly bad, but you need to work on poses. see if you can get your friends to pose for the wierd ones and then just to photo studies before you go in and do the penciling. Color wise? you're on the right track. you might try getting rid of the lines on the highlights after you color. they're a bit distracting.

I think the reason I love this character so much is that you can write. keep going strong!

London: Good pacing, i like where you were going with the story... nice Finish. I'm happy to see you doing buidings and a lot of them looked like they were in perspective... the real issue i had though they look like a bunch of milk cartons and cereal boxes just laying on a table... try to give them some klife with windows chiminey stacks, radio antennae or some clutter... good job. keep at it.

Amaloo: Good job as always with the art, somehow your wonky perspective works for you, maybe it's because i feel like I'm getting a contact high from your drawings..laugh... but honestly you lost me with the story... i wasn't very entertained, I'm not entirely sure but it felt incomplete .... hmmm ... or maybe I'm too high to make heads or tails....
