PI, i enjoyed your moody colors. That first page set a nice, somber tone. I'd have liked to see more - I'll be keeping an eye one you!
JONG, I enjoyed your shading, and the different tones you made good use of. I agree with Colin - very sharp inks indeed!

Pi, your comic really worked for me. I'm not sure how else to put it. There wasn't much of it, but the atmosphere was spot-on. It's a very well-done and appropriate finishing touch to the Doctor's career.
Mortido, your art was better by a lot, but the whole package was less moving overall. It was still a pretty good comic, though.
Wow. This has been the wishy-washiest critique I have ever given, and that's saying something. Sorry, guys.

Okay, I think I owe people an explanation. This was meant to be Pye's last battle, so it is a farewell. This isn't that I'm done with Void or I'm leaving or whatever, but lately I've been feeling like I've gone as far as I can with the doctor. I'd like to try newer things and different characters, but it's been too easy to fall back on using Pye. In this way, I'm forcing a new beginning on myself, where I won't have the crutch of this old character. I'll be making a new character soon, something I've been trying to do for a while now.
The end of Pye isn't the end of Pi!

Pi-I liked this but to me it kind of came across as you were saying "I don't think I'll win so the doctor's gonna leave/die no matter what" which was kind of depressing. I enjoyed the comic but that's just how it came across to me. If your intent is to no longer battle on Void then that at the very least was kind of a proper farewell for the doctor.
Jong-I wish you'd finished, the finished parts were very nice. Your comic kind of reinforced what I felt from Pi's, not that you were saying you wouldn't win, but that Pi was wanting the character to die. If you guys didn't plan it that way then it still synched up well regardless. I think the only thing that bothered me about your's is sometimes I had a hard time telling things apart like the 4th panel of page 2 it took me a moment to figure out what was what on Harry.

Very excellent. Pi did nice with a farewell comic, and some simple colors, and Jong did excellent with some very VERY sharp ink work.
I liked this!

jong, tight washes & line work, man. but with taking a minimalist approach, it felt like pi did more with his story. But given the turn around, it's still really nice work. If I could make a suggestion. Some of the darker bits had more hue than others. like there were bits that were tanner than the greys around them. It might be a good idea to "colorize" it or tone down the saturation or something in order to make it all look more uniform.
