DERP
Look I had like half of it penciled I wasn't exactly going to post it in that state. I know Will wants to see it and he will, as will everyone else. As I said I'm never one to be late unless circumstances come up beyond my control - like me getting a job out of the blue that ate up two weeks of my time, a job that I had been told at the time I created this battle that there was no opening for. If you'd rather I'd have posted nothing instead of some cutesy splash pages that's fine. Just vote 1s for them, I seriously do not care. I'm not treating this as anything other than a fun arena for practice.

@RedRevolver: But it's so hard to do a short story! Really it is (for me)! I have to respect everyone else who does it. Maybe I just want to do too much or maybe I just don't do enough on a single page, but it's definitely one of my goals.

Getting better dude! I think your lines are a little thick overall, save those thick lines to emphasize shadow, and try some more delicate lines for stuff like clothing folds and hair. Also, try gradually thickening up your lines in a single stroke, as in: press really hard then gradually get lighter without lifting your pen. Use this to emphasize curves, and things that fade into darkness etc.. You're losing the expressiveness of your pencils when you go to ink... when you gain more control you will be able to make quicker and more expressive strokes... you'll get it. I'm glad you ditched the tones too. Next battle, try to cut the pages down even more and really try to make THE BEST PAGES YOU CAN. aaannd your eyes are starting to look cuter, and not so fucking crazy like they were before. You did a good job though dude, keep working hard.

@Kotori: Well I guess everything needs more work really... ^.^;; At first I was trying to do poses without references, which I know bad, but still I can't help but want to do it on my own. So after the multiple failures that ensued from that I did use references on several pages here (not all but like three pages). And yes, the folds are haphazardly thrown on, I admit, sorry. I'll use more refs for clothes too from now on. Now the line variation comment...hahaha. I'm probably pressing down too hard.
@ZigZagZero and Mister Kent: Your comments are quite uplifting, thank you. I'm glad some people were able to derive some sort of enjoyment from what I have here.
Otherwise, I'll just keep doodling away and dream of better things

I'm finding this very hard to vote on simply because I don't want to vote for Dark Knight's splash pages here. I mean... where's the comic? Where's the battle? Poor play, dude. At best, I'll give you 1's because I'm not entertained and it's not a comic, thus failing the whole idea of 'comic battle' here. If William was willing to work within the time limit and post, you should have posted what you had, too. If you had wanted to finish it later, that would be fine.
William: Your anatomy needs more work. I really think you need to practice bodies and motion. There are some great pages that help with timed sketches and even have bodies(skinless) in various poses. Everyone seems very stiff here and it hurts your action. Added on to that is the way you do clothing folds... they are chunky and the folds seem almost haphazardly placed. The inks ended up being way too thick, too... you list a lot of the detail I think you had in the pencils. Vary your lines, getting different sized pens/nibs/whatever to do your inking and that will help a lot. Keep working, look into doing life studies and sketches, and work on varying your lines more.

Willy-D whassup? Love Soldat dude. The story has me man and thats what we are doing graphic story telling. The amount of work you put into shows, you even put a lot of work into your apology which is my only complaint, I feel it was over done You did great dude. All I ask is that you continue the storyline consistantly.
Dark Knight nooooooo! I waited so faithfully. Cant wait to see you BB dude.

Sorry that I have nothing to show you guys yet, I'd rather finish it as a BB than release it in it's current state. I effectively had less than a week to draw this as I unexpectedly got hired for a 2 week job... really should have canceled but didn't want to let down Will.
As it stands I will finish the battle up and post it ASAP for your viewing pleasure.

There was some cool stuff in there, William - I thought your story was pretty good (the twist with Pandora and the Liars) and I think Olympia is an appealing chraracter
The ODK - You a tease (show us more in the future please! MOAR!)

Just to clarify I'm not canceling the match as I had said to some people earlier, just extending it so I have some time to finish this. It's still on, will just be due a week later than usual.

Will - Unexpectedly got a job at the last minute and will be unavailable to draw for the next 2ish weeks, it's a live in counseling job, literally 7am-11pm. It ends August 1st and I have this whole thing thumbed and scripted so I'm going to extend the battle for a week so that it's due August 10th, will give me a week or so to get this whole shebang done.
However the (+extend) button doesn't seem to be working for me. I do have 1.5 extensions from my previous battles on void from the SDT matches I've been in so it should work.
