Would've liked to see the lettering pushed, more play with emphasis on certain words, and more interaction with the art and the words, since it was a monologue.  But I can sympathize because it's usually the last thing to do and it's a bitch.

Didn't even consider that...but that is a great Idea....i always forget that comics = letters + pictures....I get wrapped up in the pciture part and forget that lettering is an art in and of itself...and can become a character...

jimminy christmas...thanks for the idea..

both were very good,

salt:
I think it was ok for the comic to be in dutch, but I felt like the climax could have been a more visual one, because it seemed dependent on the dialogue I didn't get much out of the ending. greatest animation used in a comic I've seen, good consistency throughout also.

amazing:
funny take on the comic about a comic idea, your art looks good and has alot of character, and considering the limited range of focus, you kept it pretty interesting. Would've liked to see the lettering pushed, more play with emphasis on certain words, and more interaction with the art and the words, since it was a monologue.  But I can sympathize because it's usually the last thing to do and it's a bitch.

jhalton: Hmm...I'm new here so I'm trying to figure out what this is all about....

Seems like the 2 comics are unrelated?

They both look pretty cool, but I kind of like the heavy graphic style of amazingdavid's. Though I was expecting this to be a battle between the two characters....??

Not gonna vote cuz i don't really know what to vote on... :|

This is an artists match...which means the stories are about whatever the artists would like them to be about

Salt: ya the Dutch was a good idea. Makes it feel very underground comic-y, to me. Haha..
I think the comic is really good... maybe, maybe the splatter on page 3 is a little much; a good idea but could have been integrated better? Like perhaps it's a tiny bit haphazard/distracting.
That's all I got. I love Glitterpuppy. Really nice job on this, Salt. You give me hope for fun artist battles. :D

david: It's cool although I wasn't really hooked on the story. I loved the inks and the hot colors.

There are two speeds of animation on page 5, the large one at 0.3 fps and the 3 smaller ones at 0.1 fps. My idea was to show him reminiscing/distinguish between past and present. I can see what you mean now though. I was going to have him sparkle faster during the confrontation with the Advokat, but for one reason or another I never got around to it.
As for those who disliked it being in Dutch, I'm sorry, but you'll have to take my word for it when I say it reads better like that.

DrSalt-I really didn't mind the comic being in another language because it was fairly easy for me to tell what was going on. It made the opening kind of open to interpretation. One thing that kind of bothered me was in the ginormous Glitter Puppy on page 5 there's this odd lag in the animation. Granted it's not the end of the world, but it felt a little off since the rest of the animation was a certain speed. The rest of the comic was pretty solid, perhaps in the future offer a translation on the last page so it's not an issue for people.

amazingdavid-Whoa watch some of the colors dude! The color scheme worked for the most part, but felt a little overwhelming when you used that dark intense pink. Perhaps step away from the toning as well since it kind of got crazy there on page 4. The story made me laugh and you did a great job keeping the panels interesting while just having a conversation which is a plus.

I really enjoyed both comics, good job you guys

Dave, the color got really annoying after a while, not really the color, just the haphazardly application of it which seemed to degrade as the comic went on. that and your main character is completely unbelievable and lame.

Dr. Salt, I automatically have a vendetta against comics in other languages, this is a primarily english speaking site, so doing that just makes me feel like you just trying to be difficult, "cool" and avante garde. I would have rather you just not included text at all. I like the drawings and the glittering. Over all it was fun.

DrSalt's story works in another language because it can be understood without words. Some people that I've spoken to interpret his comic differently, which I think it really interesting. If you don't get it then look at it again, I think the story is pretty clear even though we can't understand what they are saying. That's actually the sign of a good comic: if it can still work without words. Plus sparkles are awesome.

I looooved Amazingdavid's art. That was awesome man. I laughed pretty hard at the boobies jokes, but I think overall I liked Doc's story more.

These were both great.  I have no idea how Dr. Salt did the sparkly dog thing but it was awesome when I saw it.  And even though I don't know what language that is I felt like I could understand it.  And hwo doesn't love shiny?  If there was anything wrong with the comic, the shiny took my mind away from it...  As for amazingdavid, love it.  It's a concept I've attempted in writing and seen in one other place, basically a story about making a story and how it doesn't work out, it's great.  In fact I'm actually remembering the documentary about how they failed to make the Don Quixote movie.  They failed horribly had to cancel, and decided to take what they filmed and make a movie about it.  But the best part about it is that the comic is flowing, it's alive, I can almost see the guy (if its you) moving about and talking.  He's not just sitting there dumping a story in my lap, he's smoking, complaining, jittery as fuck and casual.  You guys are rockstars.
