I only read this cuz it seemed to be popular and I wanted to be in the know... but I'm glad I read it. It was really funny and I love your inks. To me it seemed to be dragging a bit by the end though, like it could have just ended when Flint finished his story and I would've been happy. It was entertaining all the way through though.

awesome read......zombietron and the Toast characters were personal favorites......by far one of the more entertaining reads on here for a while.......but yah I woulda liked ta see some more emphasis on the art overall

Hilarious read. High marks for entertainment and creativity, though I too marked you down somewhat for quality and consistency issues. Like others have said, it was mostly backgrounds and some parts of the story/flashback segment that appear rushed.

nice entry, david! the artwork seemed rushed in some places (mostly in the bg's and things that weren't people), but it didn't affect clarity, so i had no problems enjoying the story. my only problem is that ghost revolver seemed a bit out of character... but then again, he also gets his orders from kali on his iPhone 3G in this story, so suspension of disbelief is probably key here.

Hahaha, way to get caught in a lie! Hi-5!
And Dave, I liked yours. It was inconsistent but parts looked quite nice. Good job.

I did ctrl-f. I don't want to bitch I just want there to be a more organized listing of the rules.

Even with "extension" being misspelled in the original post, the extension rules still show up at the top of my search when I search for "extension" on the forums using the search feature

um just so everyone knows, I was 5/6 pages into this, then got laid off, wasn't allowed to go back to my job to get my finished pages, then had to start over, then I missed the extension request deadline because I couldn't find the the extension rules, due to "extension" being spelled incorrectly. I apologize.

Thanks for the cameo of Scur, very much appreciated.
Sweet comic man, high points for creativity and entertainment. I liked the expressions you drew on the characters, the ones on GR were especially awesome. You had nice ink work, but I agree with what pong said...hmm... I'd also suggest making your inks just a bit more clean here and there, but that's it. I have no other complaints.
good job!

Yeah I'm sad no one gets to see the awesome pages Mike made...I kinda just wanna redo this battle...
The wordiness...well...this is the edited version. Heh...I was reading alot of Frank Miller, and silver age stuff while I was doing this which is usually all of this melodramatic wordy millions of captions type presentation and I guess I wanted to try it...
Souless...Hanon vs Flint...someday...someday
Mad: MY hand writing is terrible...I mean really realyl fuckign terrible...but I agree I don't like digital lettering and I think hand lettered bubbles would increase the gestural quality of the whole comic...
Pong: I always like your critiques. Yeah...and I usually just ink...I do a small maybe 10th scale plotting of all the panels then I just go at it with a brush...

Damn I had a dope comment extolling the virues of your work david, but forgot to log in before posting.
Anyway suggestions:
Its hard work and whatnot, but I think things would mesh better if you handlettered your pages.
for seconds, your art is sort of muddled, consider practicing using a more variable line weight or making better use of grayscale to guide the partially retarded viewer around the page.

David, do you pencil things out before you ink, or just draw straight? Because this comic has a lot of good pages and a lot of bad pages, and I can't think of any reason some stuff looks awesome while other stuff looks so awful within the same comic other than that you must not be planning this out. In any event that makes the quality hard to vote on.
Anyway I thought the story was creative which is good, but some of the execution was a little stale. The first few pages especially were just wordy to the point of almost making me not want to read the comic. But it got better as it went on.

Ow you guys..... : (
Why doing that to the poor Brazilians, is that FEAR OF AWESOME that I'm smelling? Cuz if it is, your "pure win" radars are broken when poiting for me (I can't say that about z, since he broke the radar - you know, the "too much information" thing).
None sent me a moose, none believed me about sandboard. Tell me again why I love you guys so much?

I'm cheering for Michael cuz he didn't comment on this yet. Plus David has mooses already, I don't need to give any support >:I
