thanks guys! i was waiting to respond all at once.

josh- the tilted captions was something i was testing out. i guess i tilted them a little too much & into zany range. originally i was aiming to make it seem a bit more dynamic, as a cheap way to build excitement. even when he was just sitting in the library. as for the fight, i was looking to keep it strictly melee & it was a bit of a time issue. that & the organic gun thing creeps me out just a little haha might have been watching videodrome so early. but thanks man!

shortfury- i\'m taking all-comers (once i get some other comics & new portfolio stuff done) so if he was on here, sure haha having tried it out now, i agree on the black balloons. it\'s good for an effect every now & again, but when it\'s all, they seem to get a little lost in the shuffle. and foreshortening\'s a constant struggle. i\'ll keep at it! thanks very much!!

helftan- thanks twice haha one of the complaints in my last battle was that slaughterface could have been any big guy on void so i tried to delve a little deeper into him as a character.

zsa- thanks! yeah that fur is the part of the design i hate the most now haha everytime i\'m coming up on a deadline, i\'m cursing doing every outline of him haha as for dred, vin diesel wasn\'t the goal, but if it worked for you, i\'m glad. in my mind\'s eye i saw him as more of a larry fishburne haha

thanks again very much! hope to really wow all of you with the BB!

This is a very good battle! I like all the comedy involving the reasons of slaughterface, and how he\'s a writer of sorts, ahha.
The detail amount is something to enjoy really. I couldn\'t say I saw any big problem, except of the rushed, perhaps, detailing on the furs towards the end, hehe.
And, agreed with Helf, I think he looks more of a Vin Diesel rather than a black man, and that\'s totally cool!

Waiting for the BB!

i loved it nice and simple with nothing complex just a funny enjoyable read.
i loved how you portrayed dreadnaut. And the way you gave more understanding about
your own character without it becoming a ego thing amazing work

This was cute and fun from you kuro! An easy enjoyable read, and if mack was still around i would totally request you fight dolen!!!

The only thing I would say is be careful with your foreshortening in places, and give your word bubbles a white background, so they pop out and add to the clarity.

Good job!! more more!!

I like your drawings and paneling here Kuro, a fine job.  And a nice battle scenario you\'ve set up here, funny stuff.  A couple things that could improve : I don\'t know about your narration boxes being on an angle, I like how you handle all the other balloons/words and such, but I don\'t think the zany tilted  narration box is lending much to the look.  It works on page 3 where it goes with the flow of the panels.  The other thing is the fight itself, I thought it was a little weak, only because dreds can turn his arms into any weapon, and he\'s a savvy fighter, so I think if he got one \"claw\" stuck in slaughterface, he would like turn the other arm into a gun or some different shit, ya know, like there would be more variety to thier fight because they\'re both damn powerful. But you had plenty of pages, so I dunno, it just seemed too convenient a victory for ol\' face, try to push it next time.  Nice read though dude, slaughter on!

oh. sorry man. well like i said, rematch if you want it whenever!!

dimension- thanks!! glad you liked it. the texture behind him is the same one i was using on the earlier pages, but i guess it looks out of place there especially because there\'s so much blank space behind him. if time warranted, i would have included backgrounds there, but threw that in just so it wasn\'t a solid color like in the later pages. but yeah, next time i\'ll be mindful! thanks!!

haha love the story kuro! XD

Even though you had to rush a bit towards the end in this battle, I still liked it even more than your first. :3 I can\'t really think of much to critique on...it was all pretty darn fantastic if you ask me D: hmmmm....just one thing: the texture behind  Drednaut on page 5 is kind of distracting, I think it would have looked better if it were left without a texture or if you used a texture that stood out less. :)

Sweet work, can\'t wait to see your beyond battle! :D

thanks angie. i check it out. i thought the font was the same size as my last but i guess at some point (i think it was because of scaling down for that white border) it got shrunk down a bit. i\'ll pay better attention in the future & have better time management to keep it consistent. thanks!!

what happened drawdan? i thought you were good to go with this. if you wanna rematch at some point lemme know

Kuro-It was a shame you weren\'t able to make the whole submission consistent in quality, but the pencils were strong regardless and stood on their own even without color. I found the story very fun and enjoyed this quite a bit. You\'re still having some issues with how you handle text though. All this small writing is difficult for me and my terrible eyes to read so making the text just a little larger would help a lot. Other than that I really don\'t have any complaints, I look forward to your Beyond Battle!

Drawdan-what happened? D:

thanks drawdan, but having experimented a little bit, there\'s no telling how long it\'s gonna take past the actual drawing time. seems like it\'ll take forever to get the timing just right. so straight comics for now, & i\'ll save that stuff for a BB or something later on down the road when i have a lot more time to implement it.

too bad it begins & ends with the avatar haha thanks though.
i was kicking around the idea that since this is a webcomic, making the pages gifs & using small, loopable animations in the comic itself. nothing drastic, just things that would be loop in the constraint of the panel, like slaughterface\'s rage twitching. anyone (drawdan? admins? minions? anyone else?) object?

Not to be an ass, but I just realized slaughterface\'s avatar was cooler than most comics. :p
