I didn\'t mean stick with one style for ALL your battles... I like that you do different things. I just mean in this battle, it looks like you were trying a lot of things at once and nothing was really unified... you know?

ya... i  think page 2-3 i wasnt sure how to make a dream sequance feel like it was somewhere specifically.  and as for the rush part... purely cause well like u angie, im working like crazy, i only hope that my next battle i can null the rush look all together and make something that flows.  i\'ll try to stick with one style for a bit too.  thanx for the feed back guys <3

QTR-Like Wei, I really like the relief print look over the oil painting look. I think you could work on making your poses more fluid. Like the full body shot of Robosock on the first page is looking pretty stiff. I think you could work on developing your backgrounds more so that we can see where things are taking place. You can still be crazy and experimental with your style while still making a clear picture of what is going on. The 2nd and 3rd page I don\'t have a clear idea over what\'s going on, like what was suggested above, it helps to have backgrounds to at least imply where things are taking place.

No, maybe not \"slowed down\"... I draw fast, too.. I\'m impatient, maybe you know the feeling? But, liek... you could have gone back and done some editing? Erased stray lines, smoothed jaggy lines, fixed all the \"hooks\", and the like.

yeah I agree, it looked very rushed in many places... maybe slow down, be more precise with your lines.
Page 3, \"panel\" 2 looks the most rushed; hammer guy\'s arms especially are extremely sloppy. But the first panel on the same page looks very nice; I wish the rest of it looked that nice. Page 4, first panel also looks really good... Dave McKean-ish. I also like the splashes of yellow and red on pages 1 and 4.
Actually, there are a lot of different things going on in terms of art style, maybe too many. I think you should have stuck with one or two. It looks like you were experimenting a lot, which is cool, but it also looks like you couldn\'t make up your mind.
The story didn\'t grab me. It could have been interesting and really cool, what with the whole unconcious dreaming stuff, but there was nothing in it to make me care. I didn\'t know who the characters were and I didn\'t care about them.

QT, I love your art.. I just wish you had slowed down a bit, \'cause this could have been really awesome.

parts of this are very effective....the rendering which resembles intaglio or relief printing works and works well...exceptionally well in some instances ( the right half of the first panel and the arena for example)......but it also gets a little too sloppy and rushed in some instances as well

where it really falls apart is where you have a mixture of that style of rendering and the faux- oil paint style....they just don\'t jibe well in my opinion....there is very little to compliment in thier joining especially when you do so in the same panel or figure

I would like to see you continue to use the faux-printmaking style ( or whatever you wanna call it) with an effort on using it more effectively on it\'s own and with less rush and haphazardness....

Crap, I so thought this was due today, sorry about the default.  I finished my side so I\'ll upload it as BB tomorrow i guess.  The internet hasn\'t worked at my house for tyhe last week and a half so I haven\'t been able to check it much, I\'m in a computer lab at school now.

Anyways, you did a nice job qtr.  I really like the style you used.  And sorry again for the default.
