RTV, the quality was great, and we all know it, although it did seem to be a little rushed at the end. Nonetheless, words weren\'t necessary, and I\'m very much looking forward to the bit between Rtv and Seel. Definitely give yourself more time for your next piece, I wanna see you go all out in everything.

Carstein, we have GOT to showdown. Lemme know when you\'re up/down for it. A couple things about your comic, though. Like people have been saying, try some gesture sketches to loosen up those poses, and try some more dynamic camera angles too; 90 degree profiles and dead-pan isn\'t very exciting and can quickly kill momentum. Also, I highly recommend you get some new fonts, Comic Sans is not very good at all. Try blambot.com or dafont.com for some fresh fonts.

Good stuff all around, keep it up!

that is a damn good rendition of Rtv. I respect the fact you put effort into it cuz i know this design is a bitch to draw. What i enjoyed most
about your entry was the way your story tied in. You continued from my last fight and from your intro in just one page, nice Estrella cameo too! You really did some research. I\'ve got the feeling you\'re gonna be one of those artists that\'ll keep up consistancy in stories, i really like it man.
The coloured(?) pages were great too, if that\'s marker, you sure have some skill with it. I can\'t marker for about shit. A small suggestion about your action sequences, maybe add indication of direction such as flapping clothing or hair, dust or simple speed lines. Certainly a good entry for a first with a two week deadline.

And i swear to god man, my story was in the exact same context. Carstein keeps killing, Estrella feels threatened and sends her tail. I was going for ten pages but that didn\'t flow so i combined a few, sorry bout that. I too am surprised by the feedback despite the lack of dialogue. I\'m willing to take you up for that rematch. This was just a welcome, i could defeat Carstein that easy in reality.
I\'m really looking forward to your fight with Chia, pretty curious how Rand will pursue his dream. In the mean time i\'ve decided Estrella will let him off with a warning to not exceed the killing limit per day. (when im done with my next fight i\'ll come up with something better.)

I loved this match, thanx for the feedback everyone. Now at least i know what i\'m capable of in two weeks. I still consider it rather risky shit on my half. -_-
Carstein keep it up.

Man this is great, I was so dissapointed in myself at not getting to finish my fight, I didn\'t even post the last two pages they were so rushed, but this feedback is great. I\'ll get my timing down and I\'m going to practice my action thanks for the tips guys.

Also Rtv! your fight was great, other than not getting to see the witty dialoge the comic flowed perfectly. I need a rematch though I want to show you what I can really do (maybe a little longer next time...heh).

Well R..., I too, wish there was dialogue, but I could follow it without.  That\'s what a good illustrator has the ability to do man.  Awesome Job.  good to see the gunies back! WOOT!

Car, well you definatly did a good job capturing, Rtv! look and feel, but I think the fight itself was a little flat, as were some of the scene.  How do I know, hehe, cause I was the master of stiff, for a good minute.  Practice drawing lose sketches - helps get you into the zone of the \"dynamic\"

Awesome work both of you

Fiinally, a battle between Rtv! and Carstein...<3

Rtv!: I really enjoyed the details you\'ve applied to the backgrounds. It amazed me how you are so skilled in working with the perspectives! I\'m also very thrilled to see a comic without dialogue, and still be able to let the readers know what\'s going on, and even imagine what the characters might\'ve been talking about with simple gestures. That was really great! And the fighting scene...mmf<3 You are so good with actions!

Carstein: Carstein gets hotter by the minute. I love how he seems so snobby all the  time! One thing that caught my attention in your comic is that, in some pages, you didn\'t neccessarily use panels to divide the scenes or actions, but it worked out flawlessly! Your style is also quite charming, and I love how you used your medias to tone/shade yuor comic. I only wish you could\'ve done the same thing with the rest, but I guess yuo ran out of time? Either way, you made me into your fan.

RTV, it\'s good to see you back in the game like this. I\'m disappointed that you didn\'t get any text on this, so I marked you down in Entertainment, but I could still mostly follow the story because your visuals and pacing are spot-on. I didn\'t score you as high as I might have in Quality because of the discrepancies in your renditions of Seel, who looks different in each panel. Other than that, I really enjoyed it, even without text. Blowing up zombies gets my vote any day.

Carstein, I love your lines! They\'re clean and detailed, and RTV looks GREAT in your style. I wish your pacing were a little better, though. Your lack of clear panelling took you down a notch in Quality and Entertainment, and the empty backgrounds were also a letdown. Try using more dynamic panelling and angles to give a better flow to your story next time. Also, work in a couple of close-up shots, just to mix it up. Looking at all far and medium shots gets tedious after a while.

I enjoyed the fight! That\'s prolly evident in that this is my first battle critique in an overlong time.

Rtv!- Mate, what a shame you couldn\'t finish the comic. But, I still enjoyed it. I like where the story was going. I\'m glad you finished off the art, rather than the dialogue. Good job!

Carstein- Very nice art, dude! But, to me at times your movemnets of the characters are very \'stiff\'. And the way you drew Rtv!, was pretty much spot on, to me.  The story would be so much cooler, if you would\'ve combine the art with it better. But, a very good first fight, bro!

Well done, you two!

Rtv!, I could still follow the basic storyline even without text which is very good on your part.  Your fight scenes are very well done as well :>  Though I think a couple of the pages looked a little messy with unneeded pencil marks.  But you did an awesome job.

Carstein, you have got some really nice art :)  The fight scenes didn\'t really catch my eye though.    Very nice for your first fight.  Can\'t wait to see more.

Rtv! - i loved your fight, even without dialogue. though the reader isn\'t able to pick up tiny plot details that might have been said in text, the story itself was pretty easy to follow and and understand what was going on. i would have really liked to have text, but the thing that counts is being able to look at a comic, without reading any text, and still know what\'s happening.
quality wise, i loved it. i even loved it when it was in the sketch phase. not bad for 2 weeks, i say!

Cartein - the quality was really good...i love your style. but it was incomplete (still, like i said to Rtv!, this is good for just two weeks). it was brave taking that challenge as your first fight. the only problem i really had with it was the pages were kinda small  :\\  it woulda been nice to see em just a biiiiit bigger.
anyway, it was a great first fight for you and i can\'t wait to see what you do next  :3

RTV: It\'s too bad that you couldn\'t add text, since the story seems really interesting.  The art is some of your best, though -- the fight scene was especially well drawn and the colors on the first page were really nice

Carstein: Your art was good too, but contrary to RTV, you need to work on fight scenes.  The one in this battle was hard to follow and the movements didn\'t seem very natural.  For example, why does RTV randomly stand on one leg when he shoots the two zombies?  Your dialogue wasn\'t bad, but you had some grammar mistakes that made it hard to read at nice.

Nice fight, guys.

I know how to get around the 7am deadline in your timezone.... it\'s calls SUBMIT BEFORE THEN. It\'s not a very good excuse if you KNOW that\'s when the deadline is always... and we know people wanna see RTV\'s stuff, but we don\'t wanna bend the rules on extentions for people, it\'s not fair for others who don\'t get extentions. Extentions should be a RARE occurence... if you are asking for them on almost every fight you have, than it\'s likely you\'ve got some very bad organization skills and need to rethink how much time you challenge others for. You can\'t just expect to be bailed out on every other battle you have because you weren\'t prepared to finish on time.

Awww, now come on, just a simple 1 day extension for an old veteran of void!
I\'ve seen some of the work on RTV\'s half and its AMAZING, this is definitely something that i dont want to see defaulted.
Its just some simple text adding, give a brotha\' a break

i don\'t see the harm in just extending it out for a day. i\'m tired of seeing so many default fights recently, so....yeah.   :\\

What extension man? It\'s barely a day to letter my shit. I can\'t do it now cuz of the timezone.
I\'ll DELIVER dude. C\'mon, please?

Sorry everyone if this turns out into a default. The deadline is always 7.00 am in my timezone, so far havent found a way to work around it.
