Wei- I liked the style and over all flow, but the backgrounds were lacking. In most of the panels it didn’t matter much, but in some it really took away from the quality. For example in the first panel on page three… It looks like we are looking up at hot chick, but the background is rendered as if we are looking down on him. Even in panel three of that page beta6 doesn’t look as grounded as he could be if the background was given more attention. Other minor points… the gap between the two buildings that Hot Chick uses to hide seems to change width and the trash can disappears when it’s not a focus of the action. Although I personally don’t feel these issues took too much away from the story, there are areas for improvement.

M.E.- I really think your work is pro-quality, but the zip-a-tone effect you used on this battle, I felt was too overpowering. In many of the panels the dots ended up being more of a distraction then adding to the artwork. Although if you toned them down a bit I do think they can work. Some of the pages they gave a very nice feel. The problem is that they are the same size dots regardless of where they are used… so dots in the fair background are the same size as those in the foreground flattening out the image.

wei: i really liked yours but it was a bit abrupt in it\'s pacing.

Charm: i thought your last battle was way better. last time the emotion seemed honest this time it seemed too much and used to win votes. it just seems to be trying to hard. otherwise the art was awesome except i personally didn\'t like the ziptone it seemed a little slapped on and contrasted with the rest but otherwise awesome.

I liked both comics quite a bit but Charmy gets my vote again.  The art is great (really like the tone in this one) but the story wasn\'t AS great as the last.  I do like that Hot Chick lost his eye.  It shows that this tourney is a threat and so was Beta.

Wei\'s comic was pretty good too.  I agree this is some of your best work.  The story was a bit abrupt and took me out of it a bit.  All in all, good job.

there is no missing page... seems the pacing was too abrupt for some people

HOLY CRAP AND A HALF!!! i really didn\'t expect this! charm, awsome execution... of the comic and your opponent!

wei, great work from you too. good move on foregoing the color this time. to me color is just a spice that isn\'t always needed. an wonderful effort on your part!

it was a joy to have read both.

Charm\'s chick is throwing down. He\'s my early favorite and this battle shows why.
Wei put up a good fight.. even though it feels like a page is missing near the end there.. but M.E> blows it out of the water. sweet.

Charmy: Love your dynamics and style, the story was allrighty too. A little confusing, but not too bad. Thumbsup all the way.

Wei: Your style here was really fun and the little cooked chicken bit made me giggle. Story was slightly bland, but in all it wasn\'t bad at all.

Hats off to you both. :)

Mecharm...you\'re making me cry over here. So rare to see a comic with soul here.
Wei, artwise, I feel this was more dynamic and better planned than your usual work. I was very impressed!

Charm: I liked your last fight a lot more.  This was still good, though.  I have nothing really to point out.  You\'re, by far, the favorite to win it all right now, and you probably will.  Well, unless you start to slack off.

Wei: This was the best looking comic you\'ve done in a while.  The inks were pretty sweet.  It\'s a shame beta won\'t get passed this round.  I\'ve really started to like him... er, it.

Charmy, just like the previous one, you touched my heart in this one. Nice story and action sequences here.

Wei, you\'re humor was good at the beginning of the comic, but it felt like something was missing in the story after Hot Chick\'s attack there. Charmy and I agreed in the chat that a page was missing in your comic. Overall, Charm wins my vote!

Wei, I love you like a father, but if you don\'t put your best fight up on this man, I\'ll kill you! *angry fist shake* Charm, keep the heat up dude, if you start slowing down after that fight with jack you may regret it! I look forward to both your entries!
